Waxing is a semi-permanent form of hair removal. We utilize the finest and least reactive soft and hard waxes available for traditional waxing. Our natural resin waxes have a low melting point which is perfect for sensitive skin and reduces the chances of burning. Its composition creates a natural buffer to render skin supple and smooth to assure a hydrated and regenerated skin, delivering flawless results from thin to coarse hair.
Back facials are beneficial in cleansing those tough-to-reach spots, targeting a variety of skin care needs such as clogged pores, congestion and dry skin. Deep pore cleansing prepares the skin for extractions and is followed by a customized mask. This targeted treatment zeros in on breakouts, clogged pores and blackheads on that hard-to-reach place.
Designed just for men, this customized facial provides deep pore cleansing for all skin types to deliver results. I was referred here to Dawn by my previous aesthetician who moved across country. Well, I must say that Dawn does not disappoint! She is very talented with her wax game!!
Dawn has a space at Skin Beauty bar that is very clean and inviting. I normally make an appointment for a "Queen" wax treatment and Dawn gets right down to it (literally) by making you feel at ease. Her technique is so smooth that you honestly barely feel like you're being waxed!! I was super duper impressed! So much so, I HAD to tell all of my friends about her AND Yelp about it

I love Dawne! I've been going to her ever since I received my first wax about three years ago. Then, I was doing the basic wax but I've evolved ever since. About two years ago, I decided to try one of her facials and I enjoyed it so much that I started getting them monthly. While Dawne and I were unable to get to the root cause of my breakouts, she was still supportive and helped me find a dermatologist who would accept my insurance.

Dawne is THE BEST esthetician. I've been going to her for years and will not let anyone else touch my lady parts or my face. She's skilled and knowledgable, and truly cares about her clients. You know how folks are always trying to sell you a bunch of products. Not Dawne. She knows her clients' lifestyles and encourages you to make the bare minimum changes to improve the health of your skin. I was using soap and lotion on my face. Instead of putting me on a huge regimen with 3-4 products, she gave me a simple face wash and told me to use the same coconut oil that I put on my hair

After getting a bad eyebrow wax at a nail salon 2 years ago, I was terrified to wax my brows again.
After much persuading from a coworker of mine, I decided to go see Dawn for an eyebrow wax. I was so tense and nervous when i walked in, and Dawn could sense that and talked me through every step of the process. She was so sweet and did such a great job I'll definitely be back!

I no longer go here but that's only because getting here was too much of a hassle. But I came to Dawne for a Brazilian wax and she made my first time a pleasant one.
I was pretty late, because I'm the worst at navigating DC streets, but she still took me anyway. She talked me through it and made me feel less nervous. And it was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. In addition, her prices are pretty good. The only downside is some awkward positions. And she charges for canceling appointments with too short a notice. I understand why she does that but sometimes things come up

Finally after 3 years of actually living in the city and having tried dozens of salons, I have found Dawn. I walked in at about 4:30 pm without an appt (wouldn't suggest it) but she kindly took me literally off the street and squeezed me in. Even though I was a "squeeze in", she didn't rush. She took her time, asked me if I was on medications, asked me about make up habits, really analyzed my brows.
The wax wasn't too hot, she based before she put it on, and continuously checked for symmetry as she went along.
I came in with the brows from hell...literally chewed
