In 1955 Shelly Dubofsky loaded a manual reel blade push mower and some hand trimmers into the trunk of his father's Oldsmobile '88 and went off to start mowing lawns in the neighborhoods of Chicago. Realizing he could make some money and put himself through school he worked countless days and hours before and after school and on the weekends and so began the start of Shelly's Landscape contractors, Inc.
Over many years our industry has changed in many ways. Many companies have come and gone but we have steadily grown into a full service design, build and maintenance company with a core group of employees that have been with us for over 60 years!

I called this company to get a spring cleaning and start weekly service and spoke with a gentleman by the the name of Gary. He wanted to know why we were calling so late in the season. I didn't know starting service in May is so late in the season. He hung up on me I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I cannot say enough good things about Shelly's Landscape. We used them for a number of services (re-grading yard, paver patio & full landscaping) and they exceeded our expectations. Not only are Gary & Shelly and their team a pleasure to work with, they are hard working & fairly priced. You will not regret using them! I highly highly recommend!

We loved working with Shelly’s! From the very beginning the communication was excellent, as we redid our entire patio area and put in pavers as well as remove a ton of concrete around our house. Shelly and Gary were so easy to work with and always accessible. Even though there was a slight delay in the start of our project (due to the rainy weather in May and June), Gary always kept us informed and contacted us. They completed the work quickly, their guys were friendly (Shelly was on site for most of the day) and they always cleaned up the driveway each night before leaving! Highly recommend

I couldn't possibly give a stronger recommendation for Shelly's landscaping. They were very prompt and professional. They were reasonably priced, and they did great work. A few months after completion we had some problems with the patio pavers that was not entirely their fault, and they honored their work, no questions asked.
Additionally, I had Shelly come out a year later after an awful experience with Permaseal. After spending $1,500 and 9 months trying to fix a leak in our basement with no progress, we had him come to quote us for a drain tile to be put in. Instead he recommended some cheap
