PADI is the most well recognized scuba diving organization in the world. Aaron's is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center which means that we meet all PADI Five Star Dive Center standards, plus we offer PADI instructor-level training! All of our instructors, Divemasters and shop staff are PADI Certified.

Aaron's Dive Shop is a PADI 5-star IDC (Instructor Development Center) facility highly respected island-wide and beyond. We have been providing happy customers guided certified scuba dives, discover scuba dives, scuba gear rentals, scuba gear servicing and scuba instruction for 50 years. Sea life encountered varies as dramatically as the sites. The beauty of the ocean is no dive site is the same two days in a row. Local creatures you could encounter in the bay include everything from green sea turtles to Hawaiian monk seals (endangered) to whale sharks, humpback whales, white tip reef sharks, humuhumunukunukuapua'a (Hawaiian state fish), puffer fish, moray eels and SO much more!

This is my 3rd year diving with the crew at Aaron's Dive Shop, spending January & February on the island and diving about twice a week. I also joined their dive club, a good value-added option.
There are almost too many excellent members of the dive team to remember, but I'll try; Jake (he's gone now), Sarah, Tim, Kevin, Maddie, Lindsey, Kitty, Max, Willie, and Christian. Captains, John, Rick, Steve and definitely Garrett. Sorry if I forgot some of the staff.

Kitty was my instructor for the diving basics in the pool. She explained and demonstrated everything I needed to know and worked with me patiently on some of the stuff I was struggling with. Willy was my instructor for my first open water dive. I was initially a little nervous about the first dive but once he explained what we were going to do I immediately felt at ease. Firdy was my instructor for my second dive. I felt great going into the dive and finished off the rest of my lessons. Yet another great day diving with Aaron's Dive Shop! Very happy with my decision to become a club member. Max was a great dive master and Captain Steve was great as always! Beautiful dive at Angler's and the Corsair wreck. This was my 4th trip with Aaron's this fall/winter and all of the dives have been excellent.

Did the discovery diving with Maddie today and had an amazing time! I struggled to get the breathing down initially and Maddie was extremely helpful and patient in teaching me the technique. Maddie has a great personality and made it a memorable experience! We had so much fun we plan to do it again in a few days! I would highly recommend going out with Maddie and the rest of the team at Aarons Dive shop!

What a great dive team! Got to the dock 10 min early for 2 DSDs and 1 certified diver. Maddie, Stefan and Capt Rick were already there and ready to go. Maddie was awesome with the discover scuba experience , patient and Really helped both get comfortable with the gear straight from the boat and stayed focused on them throughout their dive. She helped them have such an awesome experience they are already trying to figure out when to go next and how fast to get certified . Simple koko crater dive spot, big beautiful turtles and plenty of fish living in the coral. Fresh pineapple ready for us on

Love this shop, all the guides are cheerful, knowledgeable, and love what they do. Service is great and if something deviates from the rules (like misinformation about the time or location), special circumstances, requests and questions are all handled very quickly and fairly. They try to provide the best experience possible for the day and diving conditions. I’ve been out with most of the guides and boat drivers and it’s all been 100% positive. My husband and I could not have dreamed of a better scuba dive excursion! The dive spot was on point with sea turtles, eels, countless beautiful fish, and an octopus spotting as well! Capt Rick, Max, and Charles were absolutely amazing!! They provided the best time, was very thorough with education and precautions and made us feel totally comfortable. They even went the extra mile with tasty fresh snacks, and a hot lavender infused towel for afterwards. Very sweet and laid back staff and awesome dive store- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Our Sunday morning dive was canceled by Aaron's due to heavy current and general bad weather. While we love to dive, it was the right decision, and I really appreciate them putting the divers before their profit...unlike other dive shops I have dove with. So 5 stars to Aaron's even though we didn't dive...I think they got the most important parts right....diver safety first....and enjoyment of the dive second....as no one want to be blowing through their air while fighting a heavy current. We will dive with Aaron's at our next opportunity.

My wife and I did the Deep/Shallow dive excursion through Aaron’s and we had an amazing time! Our dive instructor, Kitty, was absolutely wonderful and our boat Captain was awesome. I had a few questions for the shop prior to the dive and the team at the shop was responsive and very nice! Overall we had an excellent time and I highly recommend booking dives through Aaron’s!

I had a blast doing two dives today with Aaron's Dive Shop team! We saw a monk seal as soon as we surfaced from the first dive and enjoyed the wildlife a great deal! The team here is excellent, professional, hilarious, and extremely friendly. I was so nervous going on my first dives in several years. Being PADI certified I was still a little nervous and the team here calmed my nerves and made me feel safe. They even taught me how to set up my equipment and check everything. Big thumbs up to Addison and Madison for taking photos, taking us to the coolest places like the pipe and the horseshoe

Such an amazing experience! Went on my first dive in 9 years with them and had such a good time. Dive master Ed was so helpful and patient with me as I tried to get down on the for dive, he was also super funny. The captain John was so friendly and knowledgeable and they both made the trip fantastic. 10/10 recommend

I had my first open water dive today and got a little nauseous while diving. Both captain Garret and dive master Max did their best to take care of me and make me feel as comfortable as possible.
Anna, the pool instructor, is wonderful as well!!
The whole team at Aaron's is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend to friends and family

I give Aaron's Dive Shop my very strong recommendation. When I got here I was just Open Water certified and had only done about 8 dives. I'd never dived on Oahu before, but have been staying in Lanikai and spotted their shop in Kailua. They launch boat dives from Hawaii Kai, all to fixed-line dive spots; the AM boat does one deep and one shallow dive, and the PM boat does two shallow dives. Since many of the deep dives are wrecks and I was only certified for Open Water, I signed up for my Advanced Open Water training since it got me three boat trips and the chance to see some wrecks.
