Magothy Dental, formerly Howard A. Katz, DDS and Associates, is a full-service dental practice serving Pasadena and Severna Park. We have been trusted by Maryland families for over 60 years with routine dental services as well as sedated procedures. Our modern yet personable approach means quality dental care doesn't have to be scary.
Sedatives, or anesthetics, are used to reduce pain and anxiety when you visit the dentist for some dental procedures. A certified dentist will administer the sedative easily so you will begin to feel relaxed and numb in a few short minutes. Depending on the type of sedation, you may or may not be asleep.

I started going here to get my teeth fixed. I have a bunch of dental issues.The dentist and his staff are great. You don’t feel like your being judged and everyone is just so nice and there to help you. Today I was so nervous I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled. The dentist was calm and friendly he helped me relax. He pulled my tooth and I didn’t even feel it. I thought he was just prepping it to pull it but he was already finished. Amazing job! I will continue to use this office to fix my teeth. Prices are fair and they are always able to accommodate my schedule! Thank you so much and keep

Dr Kerins is excellent. I have been to him twice now for a root canal and wisdom tooth removal. Both times he explained things very well and was very patient. The real winner for me is that both times he called before leaving the office to make sure I wasn't in any pain and was doing okay. With both procedures they also priced me lower than my original dentist as well. The office is clean and all the staff has been friendly and inviting.

If I could choose zero stars I would! Dr. Katz is unethical and will take your money. He will do the dental work HE CHOOSES TO DO WITH NO REGARD TO YOUR PREFERENCE! WHEN YOU EXPLAIN THAT YOU ARE UNHAPPY HE WILL VERBALLY DEGRADE YOU VIA PHONE, EMAILS, AND IN PERSON! DO NOT USE THIS DENTAL OFFICE! HERE IS A SAMPLE OF THE TERRIBLE WORK "DR" KATZ DID TO ME! This picture shows Tooth #14 where he added an Amalgam filling to A CROWN!!! HE ACTUALLY PUSHED BACK THE GUM AND PUT A SILVER AMALGAM FILLING IN THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH! I HAD NO IDEA OF THIS, EXPCEPT FOR THE TERRIBLE PAIN, UNTIL MY NEW AND AMAZING

I been going to this office for many yesrs, for myself, my son and my clients I had denture repaired recently. When my denture was ready, I went back to get them. The 1st time the receptionist gave it to me and told me to go in the bathroom and try it, to see if it fits and the dentist would see me if it doesn't fit well it didn't, so I had to cme back, which I had no promblem with. When I return the second time I was taken into the bathroom and was told "here try it on" I said let me wash my hands, so she sat it down on the sink on a paper towel, never rinse off or nothing, The first two times

Dr Katz is very kind, compassionate and helpful. He answered all my questions, took his time to listen to me and make me feel comfortable without ever feeling rushed. Office staff was nice too. I would absolutely recommend this awesome office and Dr, esp for cannabis referrals and renewals. I'm very thankful he offers these services at affordable prices compared to many other offices that only care about making the most money off their sick patients. Thank you Dr Katz, you've restored my faith back in the medical community.

Dr. Katz's office is a wonderful practice, with the knowledge and skills you want in a dentist, but with a small family feel that you don't get just anywhere. I love the fact that Dr. Katz also offers anesthesia for more involved procedures, because I hate dental work! Kid friendly too, so we can get the whole family taken care of in one place :)

I came here today for the first time. After suffering some wicked mouth pain for about a month I saw Dr. Kerins. He was a saint!! I was like the biggest pain in his butt because I had never needed a tooth pulled nor have I had that kind of mouth pain before. I was a nervous RECK!! However, he was patient and answered all of my questions. His assistant was super kind as well. Overall just the best experience and I plan to go nowhere else EVER. Dr. Kerins thank you!
