The ABPA represents the interests of its membership and supports strategic positions that will enhance their business climate. In addition, resources are provided for members to contact their elected officials and government agencies. The legislation amends U.S. design patent law to reduce from 14 years to 2.5 years the time car manufacturers can enforce design patents on collision repair parts against alternative parts suppliers.
There are many benefits to being a member of the ABPA! The association works on behalf of its members to ensure quality replacement parts through certification, communicate with state legislators and regulators, keep manufacturers informed about members' needs, issue alerts on key industry happenings, and much more!
In addition to the benefits inherent in being an association member, ABPA members also receive discounts on Partslink subscriptions, as well as many other products and services through our partnership with savings4members. More detailed information about these benefits is available below.

Partslink is a universal numbering system for the identification of aftermarket collision replacement parts. It provides a unique, universal part number for each independently reproduced replacement part as supplied by all aftermarket manufacturers/suppliers. Each Partslink number directly tracks to a similar OE application and will continue to track to that application, whether or not the OE original number is superseded.
