Lasers cannot change wavelengths and you usually need a different laser for a different target. The benefit of the Clareon IPL device, is by just changing the hand piece, you now have the equivalent of a whole new laser. The Clareon can do the work of 5 different lasers. This broad-spectrum range is what enables the IPL to be effective on large areas of skin with fewer treatments.
Old technology Xenon flash lamps result in excessive melanin / blood absorption (lower wavelengths) which increases the risk of patient burn and ineffective treatment. Xenon flash lamps also have inferior depth penetration. The Krypton flash lamp patented by Novalis Medical produces a "bell curve" wavelength pattern utilizing ALL the useful spectrum wavelengths without the excessive melanin and blood absorption wavelengths.
