An actinic keratosis, also known as a solar keratosis, is a common premalignant skin lesion. An actinic keratosis occurs when the cells that comprise 90 percent of the epidermis, the keratinocytes, change their size, shape or organization in a process called cutaneous dysplasia. This alters the texture of the skin surface and may extend deeper, into the dermis.

The entire staff is professional and polite. Both Dr Brian and Dr Keith Harris make you feel relaxed and that you are being well taken care. I would like to especially praise Dr Keith Harris who performed the initial exam, for his attention to two moles that have been overlooked for many times in the past by other dermatologist. His biopsy resulted in the need to remove both moles. Had these been left unattended the outcome could have been much different. Thank you for possibly saving my life.

Very efficient operation. Of course, I was there at 8am, their first appointment time, so maybe later in the day things get backed up, but I was in & out very quickly. All of the staff were super friendly & helpful. Dr. Keith Harris was knowledgeable & cordial. I definitely recommend Harris Dermatology.

I think their dermatology acumen is adequate and they do a reasonably good job, but if you have a deductible on your Medicare advantage policy, be prepared to be billed for double what Medicare authorizes for the procedure or skin check they provide. My former dermatologist would often spray precancerous lesions with liquid nitrogen without an additional billing exceeding the Medicare remuneration. These folks don't really employ that procedure. That is probably a less expensive process than what this group would prefer to provide. But they have a large beautiful building which must be expensive

My husband and I went for our annual visits to Harris dermatology today after having canceled our routine Springtime appointments because of Covid. We have been home, basically isolating for six months now and it has been stressful and nerve-racking just to venture out these days. Needless to say, I was very anxious but knew I had no choice but to go as I have had experience with melanoma in the past. I was thrilled to see how Harris Dermatology is handling not only their staff's safety, but of course their patients' as well. The office was absolutely spotless, there was hand sanitizer

So very pleased with this Ft. Myers office - I had a discoloration of my skin, small and he didn't like the way it looked and did a biopsy. Then I got the phone call - it was melanoma and I went in for surgery immediately. Fortunately they got it all and that has been a year ago. I have been very faithful in getting my 3 month exams both here and Michigan. This year I went back to Dr. Harris for a full body scan - another "I don't like the looks of that" biopsy - he was squamous cell cancer. Scheduled for surgery and fortunately they did get it all the first time. I cannot

Plan on spending the day. With a 930 am appt I arrived early at 9am and filled out my paperwork. Sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited some more.. At 1130 am I asked the receptionist if I was going to be called anytime soon. Her response was " you should be seen shortly your appt was at 10." My response " my appt was at 930am. I was asked to arrive 30 min early to fill out 5 minutes worth of paperwork at 930am, besides the fact that it's 1130am NOW and I'll own the 30 minutes that I actually was early, do you think it's appropriate for me to sit for

Well, if you live in sunny Florida you really have to go to a dermatologist annually for an inspection. I do and I think these guys are pretty good.
Why only four stars? They actually have America's oxymoron "Fox News" running non-stop in their waiting room. Unbelievable.
Major demerits, I'm afraid...
