No homeowner wants to deal with foundation repair, but foundation problems can affect your home's safety, appearance, and value. If you've seen issues such as floor cracks, gaps in doors or windows, sticking doors or windows, cracks in the corners of doorframes, nail pops, bowing walls, or other foundation damage, Ohio Basement Systems can help.
Have you ever looked under your house? Do you know where to look and what to look for? True, you can't just pick up the house like you would a couch or chair to look underneath, and it may not be as simple as pulling back the porch lattice or skirting. But you need to know what's under your main living area and in your crawl space.
If you've dealt with water in your basement, you need a basement waterproofing system that will provide an effective, long-lasting solution. A basement that consistently leaks or floods can cause severe damage to your home and property while also creating health issues such as mold and mildew growth.
The causes of concrete settlement and sinking are the same whether it's a driveway, walkway, patio, garage floor, or pool deck. As soil underneath a concrete slab shrinks, settles, or washes away, this leaves empty space, or voids, beneath the slab. With the soil no longer supporting the slab, the concrete will sink, creating an uneven surface.

Josh knows exactly what he is doing and his crew; Julio and Raul worked great with him. After several delays, mostly due to COVID the day finally came to shore up one of our basement walls and prevent it from moving further. Completed in one day. They we all enjoyable to talk with throughout the day while they explained what they were doing and why as they went making me feel confident in what they were doing. Once completed they cleaned up and left the work area cleaner than they found it. We will certainly recommend Ohio Basement Systems to anyone we have the opportunity to and use them ourselves

David Weirtz is the absolute best! After meeting with another company who used fear to try to get me to sign away my life, David came in and calmed me down and focused on what I truly needed. He’s a great person and professional worker. I even thought I smelled gas and he took a look around for me. As a single mom, I appreciate him more than anyone. He talked to me about the water proofing and the April air which I’m going to take advantage of. Kudos to you for hiring an outstanding individual!

I emailed with a complaint of water coming in from muliple locations in the basement and told them how the plaster is starting to crack in new places. Daniel May did my inspection and during the process I was shown a video of how they pull the foundation and re-anchor it into the ground for houses that are structurally unstable and was told that I would be receiving the same treatment for my house and that a waterproofing would be done to the basement. Instead I received steel beams to keep the walls from pushing in more and a drainage system with sub pump/ dehumidifier. While the dehumidifier

I was very impressed with the crew and services from OBS. The communication from the outset was wonderful with both an email reminder in the days preceding the work to a phone call from the crew as they were on their way.
The crew arrived in time and they were courteous and professional. All wore masks and took great care to keep the home clean as they entered the house.
Rayvell spent time going through the work to be done, the process, and offered to answer any question I had. He was very friendly. The rest of the crew - Jimmy and Jaydell - were also very friendly. They all worked quickly, kept

I called them in the morning and they sent Bob Z. to inspect and provide a written estimate within a few hours. He was even able to come earlier than the scheduled time as per my request. Bob was very informative and professional. He gave me several options to correct my foundation issues. I would definitely refer him and Ohio Basement Systems to my friends and family! Thank you so much for easing my mind over my basement problems!

Larry, Robert and Mikey did a fantastic job. Our basement looks amazing. They were kind, courteous and worked hard all day. Highly recommend this crew and this company. As a bonus, they loved our dog and were great to talk with. They kept us informed throughout the entire process and let us check in on the work whenever we wanted.

We had a great experience with Ohio Basement Systems. Luke Wilson was our sales rep. He was knowledgeable and personable and took time to help me understand the process. Larry and his team came out as scheduled in May and got everything done on time. They worked hard and cleaned everything up when finished. The basement has remained dry since then. We were very pleased from start to finish.

Absolutely awful company.
I hired them to encapsulate a crawlspace. Problems: 1) large portions (~25% of the of the crawlspace floor) are still uncovered, unsealed, bare dirt, 2) dangerous debris left under the tarp that was supposed to be removed, 3) tape isn’t sealed correctly and acts like animal trap, 4) walls aren’t fully insulated.
Impossible to get any kind of refund from them without getting a lawyer involved. The manager Joe Kazelka is unreasonable, rude, and will just stop returning your calls or emails. But they know most people won't spend the time or money on an attorney. If

I spent over $30k with this company to replace basement walls, new footers & drains, foundational piers, and a few other things. Now that the build is complete, there are signs of water coming through the brand new wall, and it is impossible to get anyone to respond. We had a technician out over a month ago and since then we have emailed and called regularly, and we keep getting passed around with no resolution. If possible, someone from corporate office should contact me, as no one at the local branch seems to care or want to help.

I normally never leave a review for companies but my experience with Ohio basement systems is the worst I could imagine. Paying over $30,000 to have a basement waterproofed and foundation fixed should mean you know what you’re doing and care to do the right thing. within 6 months the waterproofing failed after raining with moisture all over my basement. I had more water in my basement then I ever did before it was waterproofed. Larry and his team also put in the sump pump wrong which is supposed to be at least 10 feet from the house but as shown in the picture it was within 5 feet and causing
