My elderly invalid mother has been living with us for nine months. We recently moved her to a hospital bed authorized by Medicare. What a nightmare that process was. I finally gave up and went to Rio for help. From the woman at the front desk to the manager I received the professionalism and compassion that was lacking from ALL sources throughout this ordeal. I actually cried because someone finally listened to and helped me. This is now my one stop med supply store

I called to ask if they had a particular item that I needed immediately. They said they did. I drove 40 minutes to get there and THEY DID NOT HAVE IT. The clerk offered to order for me and have it in a couple of days. Worthless.

This place is great, specifically the service of JAMAL! I needed a lift chair and I needed it delivered quickly. JAMAL came through, I called Friday morning about 10 am and described my need. JAMAL narrowed the options down and sent me pictures of the options he had that met my needs. I made my decision and Jamal had the chair delivered by 3 pm. I did this all from my hospital bed! I was able to be discharged to my home and NOT rehab; in a large part because I was able to have the lift chair at home! I will be doing my medical supply shopping from this store. I rented a lift chair for two months for my mother in law, who broke her hip. It got scuffed during transport back to Rio (a small 1/4 inch tear in the fabric on one front corner), and they refused to take it back, saying it was no longer rentable. They insisted that I buy it.

The initial price they said I had to pay was a little less than $1000, $300 more than the same chair goes for new. After pitching a fit they agreed to bring it down to $650, the price for a new chair.

These people are disgusting. Never rent medical equipment from them.

So I went to this business cause I have had some pretty major foot discomfort it's on my way home so I thought let's give a local business a try what couldn't hurt,well was I wrong and this is a precautionary tale of when a persons only existence as a business and snake oil salesmen is to do his best to separate his customers with whom are going there to look for a solution to the many ailments that come with age or accidents.So I went there looking for insole shoe orthadics which if made with quality material would be a godsend cause I've been very uncomfortable for quite sometime

So rude!!!! Multiple phone calls just to get the delivery fee, only to find out it's a total of $60!!!! I've been hung up on with these people, they have zero customer service skills at all. Total waste of time.

Bought a humidifier from Rio. I wasn't sure if it was right for me, but the proprietor gave me the hard sell. I had just come down with bronchitis and was desperate for steam but too tired to shop around. The proprietor claimed that the humidifier had a lifetime guarantee and that it was 100% washable in the dishwasher. When I got it home, I saw that neither claim was true. It had a one year limited guarantee and only part of it was dishwasher safe. I brought it back unused with the receipt but the proprietor refused to give me a refund citing their no refund policy. I will not do business

I will never shop at this place again. I bought a knee brace for my mom and it didn't fit. She never wore it and I tried to exchange. It had been 6 days since I bought it and they said I waited too long to return it. I hadn't had a chance to take it to my mom to try it on. Extremely rude people! Go to Amazon as you will find better prices and if it you buy something at Amazon and it doesn't work out at least you can return it. Places like this will go out of business soon!

If you need it, they probably have it. Needed CPAP supplies and only had a short window to find them. They worked with me and we searched several boxes to find what I was after. Truly a great experience. Go here and you will not be sorry! Thanks guys, you are awesome.

Loved this place! I called and spoke with Hamza to ask if they had the product I needed. He was very friendly and helpful over the phone. They had what I needed! The store was well organized. Hamza was there and helped find exactly what I needed. They made sure it was a good fit and that I was comfortable. The price was very reasonable, saved me the time and shipping. I will definitely keep going back to them!

What a wonderful and hospitable establishment, I witness a man yelling at one of the employees (Named Hamza I think?) he yelled at him because he said he called here and someone told him the item is in stock. The employees said we didn't receive a call like that but we do carry the item. He continued this absurd rant about him calling about the item that they already have. They were patient and pleasant staff to say the least. If you want quality customer service and beyond this is the place to go.

So I would give this store a below zero star, because there customer service by the guy name Jamal is the worse service ever. Just to let everyone know that there are other stores you can visit like Zask medical supplies.

We just stopped by to pick up a wheelchair. Hamza was super friendly. He helped us figure out what we needed and got us back on the road quickly.

Avoid at all cost. I went in to inquire about a hospital bed. The monthly rental rate seemed absurd. So I asked about an item I was familiar with. The salesman said he had a demo unit in stock: "only $400, no, $500". The object, a Halo, is available new for around $250. Buyer beware!

My infirmed mother recently moved to the area. We have had to supply her with various items to aid her in her new assisted living residence. Conveniently located, I have found Rio Medical to be a well-supplied store, with good prices, and very helpful staff! I am happy to have it as an easy access resource.

I wish I had read these reviews before going to this place! First of all, the saleswoman smoothed-talked me into purchasing a Drive Rollator from her, for nearly triple the price, at $169.00, instead of from Amazon, where it is available from $56.36 to $70.72, telling me all about their one-year guarantee. So I paid $169.00 for it on March 24 so that I could take my husband, who was struck by a car nearly a year and a half ago, to visit his mother. But she died the following day, on March 25. I needed wheelchair for a half day use at a DC hotel. The hotel's concierge recommended this provider. I called the hotel prior to my arrival to ensure the chair was there. They said there WAS a chair from this company but my name wasn't on it. They said tho' that another chair had been picked up and I could have this. I called RIO to confirm and they said that yes, my chair had been delivered. On arrival, the only chair there was brought out .. w/ a receipt for someone else - w/ that person's name, address, phone, and other information .. and fortunately only the last digits

I have no idea what may have been bothering people who felt the need to write negative reviews about the service and products here. I called ahead and learned that they had both products I was looking for, and the options available with each.
At the store, I was treated with kindness and respect as I was shown 3-4 different types of products I was looking for for my elderly mother. The salesman made sure I had the right piece of equipment in the right shape and size.
I would recommend Rio Medical Supplies without hesitation.

If I could, I would give 1/2 a star or less. Prices are outrageous, selection is sub-par at best, and customer service is atrocious. Their final sales policy on almost everything is ridiculous, especially considering the fact that they sell products that need to fit properly.

Would not go back here if you paid me. I cannot believe they're in business at all. Buy something pretty much anywhere else if you possibly can and avoid at ALL costs.
