I had an 80ft Sycamore that suddenly died of old age. A HUGE split at the trunk appeared suddenly at the base of this 57" diameter tree, and was leaning over the Parkway precariously. Francisco had come by a week earlier and suggested I take the tree down as it was dead. I didn't want to, and hoped he was wrong. But 5 days later, the crack appeared, and he responded to my urgent call with 6 men, a huge log splitter and a stump grinder. It took six guys 3 days to remove this tree, and haul off the wood.
