My boyfriend and I walked in and were the only customers in the place, yet the 2 employees behind the bar acted as if we were an inconvenience and gave off a very ill mannered vibe. Not what we’d expect a winery?! After asking for an ID, tossed it back at us with enough force for it to slide across the counter onto the floor. We left and purchased nothing. We understand there’s a labor shortage, but the place was empty.. We drove to Cades Cove Cellars in Townsend. Worth the drive to have nice service, good wine and a nicer experience.

Apart from the wine, which was drinkable- the woman behind the counter, Jessica, has a great deal to learn about customer service.
I was astonished at how rude and unfriendly she was. We walked in around 5- they’re open until 6- she clearly was hoping to close early.
She was very curt, opinionated, and abrasive…and she clearly has learned nothing from the lovely Southerners who live here.
Based on my experience, I will never return and no one I know will frequent this place either.

My husband and I visited this beautiful, old winery to taste their wines. The woman that poured our wines was very kind and guided us to the wines we would probably prefer. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return on future visits to Gatlinburg. We left with several bottles of wine and memories of a wonderful time at the "castle".

Visited back in October and this place is the best winery around. They make the wine there which I love compared to a lot of the little shops on the strip. The lady was so nice to talk to and let us try so many different wines. The wine is cheap and SO good. Can not wait to make it back there some day. Thank you for a great experience!

Best winery that we have found in the Smokys. We have been visiting here since our honeymoon in 1997. That's a lot of bottles of wine :). Every bottle has been very enjoyable. We especially like the BlackBerry.
Even though with covid they temporarily stopped wine tasting this was out best experience there. Dave was very helpful and friendly. Thank you Dave wish we could share a glass of happy with you CHEERS!

Amazing luv this place. We visit Gatlinburg every year, since we got married in 2015.. This winery is A must for us every year. Our favs wines..are mountain red, and sangria. We buy min of 2 every visit.. We will be back.. wine is Absoultey great, price are amazing, and the staff is very welcoming. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. I encourage all to check out this place you wont be disappointed. Came back on FEB 2018!!! so worth it tried new wines 🍷!! May Wine... New favorite for sure!!
