We are a family owned & operated business. We have been in business for over 30 years and operate out of our brick and mortar shop in Brighton Michigan. Our staff has over 80 years combined experience and love what we do. The shop is owned by a father and son team, Patrick and Jason Bane. Our family has lived in the Brighton/Brighton community for more than 80 years.
We have a large inventory of collectible coins and coin sets, We carry U.S Proof and Mint Sets, Silver Eagles, Silver Dollars, Large Cents, 2 Cents, 3 Cents, Quarters, State Quarters, Nickels, Dimes, Half Cents, and Cents and even hard to find foreign coins like Sixpence. We are collectors at heart, our huge inventory is comprised of high quality collectible coins.
The number one most important rule about coins, Never Clean a Coin! Cleaning coins damages them and dramatically reduces the value. Coins, especially silver coins look a lot nicer when you remove the natural patina, it's a huge no-no. Dipping or polishing silver and copper coins removes a layer of metal and potentially changes the chemical composition of the external layers, damaging the coins.
We accept Cash, Cashier Checks, Personal Checks, Credit. Please Bring A Cashiers Check Or A Personal Check, If We Know You. Don't get tricked by online retailers offering the "Lowest Price" these guys charge shipping, handling, processing or put you on automated programs. The latestest thing they do is say as low as X.XX over spot but when you check out the actual price is 0.10 to 0.35 higher per ounce.

Just spent over an hour with Jason discussing bullion versus numismatic coins for preserving value in the future. Jason was incredibly knowledgeable and provided me with sound information that I can go forward with.
He had both gold and silver. Plus graded coins that I was able to discuss with him. His prices he buys back and that he sells for are great!

This is the only place I go to buy or sell my silver.. Not only is Jason fair on his buying but he sells at better then most also.. I called other shops and they offered me $26-$29 per for ms69 ASE slab Eagles... ripoff..Jason gave me a much more fair price..Yes they are busy and you might have to wait but it's better then getting ripped off by someone else.. Thank you for you honesty and trust worthy experience man..I FULLY RECOMMEND BUYING AND SELLING HERE

Absolutely love online shopping with this business. Although that have a limited supply from time to time they do alert you to having more products that you might be looking for. Fast mail delivery. Never had any issues. Will always check them first for whatever I’m looking for before checking anywhere else. Great place and highly recommend!

I love The Coin Shop! Tucked away in a tiny strip mall is a hidden gem of a place. It's hard to see from the street so look for the Dollar Store and Jet's Pizza. Squeezed between a pillar is a doorway to a wonderful collection of coins and antiques. Mostly the store sells rare and bullion coins, but it does have a few antiques in the front. The Father and Son team that run this store are great guys. They have the best prices in the area hands down!
