Richfield State Insurance has been serving the Twin Cities and surrounding communities since 1947 and is staffed with licensed professionals that have combined insurance experience of over 130 years.
Originally from the Brainerd Lakes area, Jim moved to the Twin Cities after graduating from St Cloud State University. He is married and has two children. Chad began his career in insurance in 1997, where he worked in the technology department for Allstate insurance. To further broaden his industry knowledge, he became an underwriter for Austin Mutual and eventually joined Richfield State Insurance in 2001.

Have been with this company over 10 years. Recently they managed to majorly mess up our billing with me and my gf separate policies. Shes now been charged multiple times for my policy. We will now be seeking other avenues for insurance due to this. How you mess up billing after a decade is beyond me. Steer clear.

If you need insurance it is the best deal in town and the most prompt service I’ve ever experienced ,I am so sad that I haven’t had this insurance and wasted my time at another insurance agency all these years.. Chad Bjugan is an awesome agent and he has an awesome staff that can help also.. I do not waste any time and take care of you almost immediately! I never thought I would say I love my insurance agency, but I DO❣️

I worked with Terry Sweeney for commercial general liability to cover me as an independent contractor. Terry was very kind, patient at explaining the details, and responded to me in a timely manner. Other staff I spoke with on the phone were always helpful as well. Terry and Richfield State Insurance made this very easy for me and I would highly recommend them!
