Leland House & Rochester Hotel

We stayed there in June of 2021. The owners were handling the front and they were absolutely amazing. Very accommodating and very helpful with any questions. Easy communication through txt message and even got the code to our room that way so we were ready to go in to room right away. Their hotel in Silverton, Co. Is worth checking out also. Great trip and this hotel and service were definitely at the center of it. Thank you so much.

We recently hosted our daughter's wedding in Durango, CO. The Rochester Hotel was recommended to us. We and some of the guests occupied The Rochester- almost the entire (15 room) hotel. We also hosted the Welcome Party in the adjacent courtyard the night before the wedding. I cannot say enough about this "hotel." It was fabulous- the location off Main St, rooms, cleanliness, authentic feel, the staff, the sitting area, coffee, pastries, fruit and scrambled eggs. I really cannot say enough. Hotel is beautiful and very clean! Host was very nice and accommodating. The patio is lovely as well. Our room was clean, very comfortable, and quiet. Would stay there again!

Excellent experience. Super friendly staff, clean and large rooms. Very clean, modern, and updated. Nice casual breakfast provided as well as cookies in the afternoon. Great location, just one street off Main Street, so it is extremely quiet. Absolutely no negatives. Will be back for sure. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at the Rochester for an anniversary weekend getaway. Booked on line and was not disappointed. The room, #107, was cozy comfortable and clean. The check in process was first rate and the service we received was outstanding. We were only there 3 days and 2 nights, but it was a great time. The hotel is right near Durangos' main strip, so everything was with in walking distance. Some advice for future guests. If you are going to go out for dinner, and it looks like rain, and the owner offers you an umbrella, take it. We didn't and it poured for a good 2 hours. The wife and I will

I don't often leave reviews, but the experience I had here was absolutely phenomenal. We were first greeted by Marty, who got us checked in. And with just that short interaction, he remembered my wife and I and greeted us by name any time we were walking through the hotel. He was knowledgeable about the town with suggestions for restaurants and when my wife forgot her pillow he went above and beyond to help us get it returned.
I cannot speak highly enough of the experience that we had. 10/10 would recommend and will go back if we're in the area again.

Great hotel and exceptionally clean! The owner was always available and was very kind. You can tell there is great pride in ownership on all her work. From the wine and coffee to the homemade blueberry muffins, the you always feel welcomed at the Rochester! I very much enjoyed myself here and I would highly recommend the hotel to my family and friends!

Nice hotel off the mainstreet rush!! Walking distance to several eating and shopping places!! Hosts were all very friendly and helpful!!

My husband described the hotel as a wonderful mix between a hotel and bed and breakfast. It was quaint and comfortable, with almost a homey feel. The management was very welcoming, accommodating and genuinely kind. We are already planning our trip back to Durango, and will no doubt stay at the Rochester.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Rochester for the first time in early September. In the weeks leading up to my trip, Laura and her team went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. This place is AMAZING! It's home away from home. I don't want to leave. Cozy cottages and dog friendly! Laura and her hubby are the best! In these trying times I feel lucky we found this place!

We stayed here over the weekend but wish we booked a longer trip. It was such a cute place and had so much charm. There was so many special touches everywhere you looked but the best one was the made to order hot breakfast. It was like any other I've had at any hotel. Really made our stay one of a kind. We won't be staying anywhere else when we come visit Durango. From the quite nights sleep to the comfortable bed and the cozy ness of the rooms, our stay was blissful.

This was our first time staying at the Rochester Hotel and it did not disappoint! Kirk and the entire staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The breakfasts were beyond delicious. I feel like everyone went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience. It felt like we were family. I can't wait to come back again!

Truly one of the best places I've ever visited and one of the best beds I've ever slept in! The staff has always been extremely polite and very friendly. What I really love is waking up and being able to place… my order for breakfast when I'm ready instead of it sitting under heat lamps for who knows how long. And the women in the kitchen are so awesome and always remember us It's quite obvious that they love what they do and who they do it for. And ....the smiles on their face.......always puts a smile on my face!

Simply the best hotel with the most friendly service you can get!! Their breakfast is incredible and they have fresh baked cookies out in the afternoon. They also have a fully stocked bar complete with local beers and your favorite cocktail!

This was a super cute and quaint bed and breakfast in the heart of downtown Durango. Close to all the unique shops and restaurants. The hospitality and service is second to none! Breakfast was equally amazing. Was in town for business, but will definitely be sure to come back for leisure with my husband and stay again!

We (party of 2 rooms) enjoyed a complimentary, unrequested upgrade from queen (1st fl) to king rooms (2nd fl). This obviously has its challenges when moving luggage, but were graciously allowed to store our skis in the outside garage.

Megan showed us around the hotel with bits of trivia. The ladies preparing and serving breakfast in the morning were very accommodating. (If they have lemon bread, you have to try it - fab!) The potato frittata and egg, Swiss & asparagus scramble w/homemade toast was very good. Husband didn't order breakfast because there was no meat.
