We offer structural engineering analysis, design, and evaluation services to your new construction, new addition, or remodel projects - across a broad spectrum of residential, commercial, industrial, or agricultural structures. Our experience with projects of all types and sizes allows us to scale and customize our design and evaluation packages to support the unique requirements of YOUR project.
Make sure your construction project is built according to the plans and correct specifications with our construction inspection services. Our inspection services include checking the foundation elevation and perform a visual evaluation of your home or business. We look for foundation cracks, any damages to the walls and floors and any other signs that may give you foundation problems.
With our new Matterport Camera, WoodChuck Engineering is a local leader in capturing realistic, interactive 3D and VR experiences of a structure that feels as real as being there. Our 3D camera allows us to capture digital replicas of real-world environments for client immersion and process documentation.
WoodChuck Engineering is an entity of Du Fault Engineering, LLC, which is owned and operated by Chuck Du Fault, P.E. He is a graduate of Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) with 18 years of experience in the field of structural and civil engineering in Oregon, and 13 years of experience devoted to projects within Lane County, Oregon and surrounding areas.

I have been in the building and development trades my whole life, and was taught early on that engineers and architects are the enemy. So much so that my development company would go to great lengths and expense to avoid them by designing buildings to accepted codes. But Chuck is different. He really loves his job and is really eager to please his customers. His attention to detail, prices, and ability to work as a team player are excellent. I am glad to have Woodchuck Engineering on the my team and cannot wait for the next project.
