The future of relationship assessment is here. Created by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, The Gottman Relationship Checkup automatically scores a relationship's strengths and challenges and provides specific recommendations for intervention. Developed from over 40 years of scientific research by Dr. John Gottman, this relationship assessment tool relies on intensive, detailed, and evidence-based information on why relationships succeed or fail.

Services
Couples often find themselves having the same fight over and over again. Partners can find themselves talking less and less, while the sense of distance starts to feel permanent. This is where we can help. Marathon counseling provides an opportunity for a couple to work through their difficulties in a concentrated format without interruptions and distractions.
Over 40 years of experience as a marriage counselor and 50 years of marriage has prepared Jim to help couples and families with a multitude of issues. As a student of the nations leading seminary school of Biblical Counseling. Dallas Theological Seminary is proud to authorize Nicole for observation through Jim Ramsey and Aletheia Counseling.
The Gottman Research Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple relationship and integrates research-based interventions based on the Sound Relationship House Theory. Dr. John Gottman has been studying couples and families for over four decades.

Through analyzing thousands of interactions, he has scientifically determined the factors that produce long-lived harmonious relationships, and those behaviors that damage and eventually ruin relationships. From this research he developed a practical and scientific therapy method for helping and strengthening relationships between committed couples, and between parents and children.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Jordan "Jay" Clarfield was recommended to me by a family member. My fiancé and I were excited to get the help we needed in our relationship. Our first session we showed up to the office, only to be told 10 minutes after our session was supposed to begin that Jay would have to reschedule due to a migraine. After this unexpected change, Jay offered us 4 free sessions for any inconvenience. We both understand that life does happen and we were happy that Jay gave us that offer. Our second session was rescheduled 10 minutes before our scheduled time due to an unexpected

We did a 2 1/2 day counseling marathon with Jim and our marriage was helped tremendously! His decades of experience as a counselor and pastor, and a Gottman therapist bring so much to the table in helping struggling couples. He was positive, relatable caring, knowledgeable, encouraging, and tough when necessary. He gave us tools, hope, and fresh air to breath! We would highly recommend Jim and the counseling marathon, regardless of where you live. It is a life changing marriage getaway!

We did a weekend intensive and Zoom sessions, and have found the tools Jim's given us to be extremely helpful. We've learned skills we never knew about, and really appreciate having realistic work to do together to strengthen our marriage. We're grateful for Jim's honest and fun personality!

My wife and I went to Jim with some specific relationship/ marriage issues we wanted to work on. We found Jim to be professional, knowledgable, experienced, and welcoming. He was helpful in all aspects of the process from the start by recommending local lodging and restaurants. He has a very serene setting for the counseling and he could not have been more helpful. We initially located Jim on the psychology today website searching for fully credentialed "Gottman" therapist. I believe he was one of two in the entire state. He listened. He encouraged honest, respectful exchanges and assisted us to

Jim is very unorganized and unprofessional. Here are a few examples: he double booked our first appointment so we had to leave and then come back. He also took a phone call in the middle of our session. He didn’t seem to ever write down appointments so I constantly had to confirm appointments with him.
His gives his couples a questionnaire (which takes about 1.5 hours to fill out). We were set up to see him after we did the questionnaire and he was supposed to have gone over our inventories and give us feedback on what he thought we should work on. He never went over our inventories. We wasted

My wife and I did a weekend marriage intensive with Jim a few years ago. It was by far the best investment we have made for our marriage. Our marriage was on thin ice and we needed help. We came across Jim and we are grateful we did. It was a great experience and I can't recommend his counseling and/or his weekend intensive more if you need help. This year we celebrating our 25th anniversary and Jim played a big part in helping us get there!

Jim arranged to treat us when we sought someone in the Gottman Method of Therapy and he was the only fully trained provider in the State of Montana. Thus, the problem was that we live five hours away from his Missoula office, in Havre Montana. This challenge was met with his conviction for success! We engaged in an all day marathon session when we were in Missoula for other reasons and then are continuing treatment long distance.
Jim is a brilliant man. He picks up the cues, says the right things, hears you, listens to you, guides you and even redirects where you are off track. He counseled us

The best choice my husband and I have ever made was to go seek counseling from Jim. We attended an 8 hour "marriage boot camp" right before the holidays and it's completely changed our marriage for the better. He made such a profound impact on us. I honestly can't speak enough praises about him, his approach to therapy really puts you at ease. He's kind, understanding, down to earth, non judgmental and really works on the side of advocacy that brings couples together. He really helped us see all the love that my husband and I have for each other. He also showed us a way to communicate and work

My husband I were introduced to the Gottman Theory. We received the questionnaire paperwork, but never went back & we were never told what the charge would be. I noticed on my credit report that Jim Ramsey turned me into collections. $600.....for 20 sheets of paper! Really???!
