I created Bristle & Blush 4 years ago as a full service salon where the care of our guests and your needs could be my number one priority.

Services
Do not use any acne, glycolic, anti-aging, or other acid products on your skin 48 hours before your appointment. If you have or have had Herpes (Cold Sores), Chicken Pox, or Shingles you must take extra precautions before having permanent makeup procedures on your lips.
You must get a prescription from your Dr which should be taken at least 2 days prior to your appointment, on the day of your appointment, and at least two days after your appointment.Alternatively you can obtain Lysine over the counter which must be taken 30 days prior to your appointment and 30 days after your appointment.

After we have agreed upon the style and color we are trying to achieve you will begin the pre-numbing process. I will apply the numbing cream and top it with a plastic coating. This coating helps to heat the skin and aid in the absorption of the numbing cream. This cream will sit for 20 minutes. Once the numbing cream has had adequate time to absorb we will begin the procedure.
After the procedure, I will apply a thin layer of Aquaphor to your tattoo. For the remainder of the day gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for the full day until the oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids.
One must wait at least 2 months after their last botox injection before having eyeliner tattooed. To do an eyeliner tattoo your eyelash extensions must be removed, and cannot be replaced until 14 days following your procedure. You can, but you must take extra precautions before having permanent makeup procedures on your lips.

It's super hard to find someone as amazing and as trustworthy as Leighann. Booking is easy and convenient here are no extra steps to take, just go online book yourself in. She 100% knows what she's doing and goes above and beyond. I told her within about 7 minutes of her starting my brows for the first time that I had for sure found my permanent brow specialist. As a man it's hard finding a place that isn't honestly geared towards one gender and is understanding of what you need and she gets it right every time. I had a terrible balayage done by a stylist at a different salon, so I called in and scheduled an appointment with Sienna. We had a consultation and she came up with a plan to fix my hair. Sienna was kind and efficient. She did an amazing job with the color correction! The salon is also super cute and clean.

I went out of my comfort zone and chose a hair salon simply by their photos posted by their clientele.
I'm so glad I chose this salon. The hairstylists are everything the photos show and then some!!! My daughter went to Sienna and I had Kelly cut my hair. We are both so pleased with our haIrcuts. We both will be visiting Kelly again soon for colors.

Emma gave me just what I had hoped for when I booked an appointment to get purple hair. It can take awhile to get an appointment, but well worth it. The salon is quiet and Emma does a phenomenal job. She took care to check in with me on the color and make sure it was what I was looking for, and with her tips on caring for it I've been able to maintain it without trouble.

I got my hair done and colored by Amelia and it was exactly what I wanted! She's super friendly and great at what she does. I had thick black hair and finally got the copper-brown coloring I've been thinking about, and she did a great job of making it look natural like I wanted! Their pricing is pretty good as well, and the salon itself is super cute. Would definitely recommend!

I followed Cherine. I live in San Francisco. And the Uber driver thinks I was insane to go down to Saratoga for a coloring appointment. I just listened thinking to myself, you don't know how hard to find a good stylist. And I found an AWESOME one. Cherine loves her colors because she is great with them!

This review goes out to Sienna! I moved to the Bay from the East Coast and have been skeptical of finding a hair salon/stylist as my "go-to." (Yes, this means I would ONLY do my hair when I go back to the east coast.)
However, Sienna changed all that! I had one of the best haircuts/trims in my entire life. She managed to keep my hair voluminous while not making the layers look awkward. My hair looks more alive, healthy, and the shape is amazing!
I'm so happy I found Sienna through Bristle & Blush, I'll definitely be coming again in the future!

The owner and all the employees I came in contact with were very nice and professional. And after they tried to fix my hair and I was still unhappy, I got my money back.
But I think people need to know before coming that this place charges by time instead of by service. I've just never heard of a salon like that. So my total was over $500 + tip by the end! It would have still been worth it if I had gotten the balayage hair I wanted, but it looked nothing like the picture I brought. I was depressed about my hair and still need to find a way to cover the brass color for good.

I called earlier in the afternoon and they were able to fit me in for a same day appointment.
I came in without any idea of what I wanted, and she gave me a cute haircut. Layers in the back and a cut that framed my face. She patiently answered all of my questions and gave me tips for dealing with my thin hair. She recommended a couple products (vegan and natural) but wasn't pushy about them, which was good. Also sweet and nice to chat with.
Will be back!

I've been putting off getting a haircut because I haven't been able to find a stylist I've liked in the area and always get nervous for haircuts. I did some browsing on Yelp + Instagram and found Bristle & Blush and Tara.
Her Saturdays are pretty booked (and waitlisted only when I checked), but last minute cancellations happen so I would call / keep an eye on her Instagram. I was able to snag a last minute appointment on a Tuesday afternoon after she posted on her Instagram Stories :)
The studio is tucked away in a corner - I missed it the first time. Cute and clean, and

It's a small salon hidden in a large shopping center. When I walked in for my appointment, I was immediately greeted by their receptionist. She informed me that Tara is still working on a client and had offered me a drink while I waited. I was 20 minutes early anyway so I didn't mind waiting.

Kellie O. did my hair about a month ago while I was home for spring break! It was my first time getting balayage done and she did a phenomenal job! She was super resourceful in helping me choose a color and style. My hair came out super natural and the color hasn't faded since.
