You know what to expect when you go to a tattoo shop - condescension, lack of communication, no openness, and generally a feeling you're bothering the artists for existing. At Harlequin, you get none of this.
When I decided I wanted a hand piece, I knew I needed quality. My partner has gone here for a couple tattoos with Dawn, and she's always happy with the outcome. So, I decided to see if I meshed with the current artists. When I reached out to Luke, he was responsive and open to my idea. Booking was easy, and as you can see, the result was worth the wait.

I worked with Kent Braun on a design, which was super easy and I liked the experience. The tattoo itself went smoothly-Kent is an excellent artist. The shop was busy, yet quiet. I felt super comfortable there, and I plan on getting more tattoos from Kent in the future.

Highly recommend this place especially if you're doing a complex tattoo
Kent my artist, Was very patient knowledgeable on what I wanted and came up with things that I would never think about remember it's for life so you want to make sure you go to the right place

I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE at this tattoo shop. LUKE was HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I booked an appointment with him and put down my $60 deposit 2 weeks in advance through Instagram. It’s very hard for me to take time off since I work all the time, so I did my best to take the day of my birthday off to get the tattoo that I’ve been saving up for a long time. Not only was he LATE to the appointment, I had to wait for him for about an hour to get his stuff together when he got there. Not the way you want to spend your birthday AT ALL! So, when I was fed up of waiting around for him

I made the drive from Toledo to get tattooed here. While it was the first time it definitely will not be the last time. This is a super clean shop the work quality for the price is just ridiculous. What I mean by that is it super solid tattoo work at a very very good price. I'm pretty sure that this is going to be my new go-to place I love Hamtramck and I love this shop.

Very nice staff, clean and clearly well kept. The normal safety/sanitary protocols were in place. NOTE: they only take cash or direct pay via PayPal.
I worked with David for a very simple piece featuring just three words. He hand-drew it on the spot (which is what I wanted, as I didn't want to use a downloaded font). He drew up exactly what I had in mind and was careful in making the stencil and ensuring the placement was good.
It was a small job, but he was quick and efficient. The owner later mentioned that simple word tattoos are often harder than the complex--David's work was great.

I couldn't recommend Tyler more. He has the patience of a saint, and simply won't give you a bad tattoo. period. if the design you've painstakingly selected is going to look like mud in 5-10 years, he'll offer you the best solution possible so you can still get your dream tattoo. He has a light hand, a great eye for color (i've had a few of my tattoos for 7 years now, and they still look like the most vibrant stickers ever,) he is meticulously clean, and he's an awesome storyteller.He absolutely has your best interest at hand and wants to give you the best tattoo you've ever had. So sit perfectly
