Neither homes had a water softener, so these were the only water system that were in operation. We keep notes on the results of both systems during this period. After approximately 3-6 weeks, we began to note that both systems seem to have a similar result on the water in the homes.

This device has changed my life forever. Our well water is extremely hard and used to quickly clog all my hot water pipes and faucets, plus our on demand water heater. If you're like me, you probably can't stand hard water. It's a plague here in Northern California, and especially in parts of Santa Cruz County. Hard water causes all kinds of nasty mineral deposits on your porcelain fixtures, faucets, shower, and spigots. Those deposits (scale) also build up on your water heater element, causing it to work less efficiently. When we moved in to our new home in Capitola, I noticed that we were cleaning our toilets almost twice a week because of this build up, and our energy bill was out of control!
