De Anza Water Conditioning
As an authorized, independent Kinetico dealer, we've been providing certified water solutions for homes and businesses for over 40 years. Few elements are as essential to healthy living as clear, clean, fresh water. In our homes, we often take fresh tap water for granted, assuming that when it's clear, it's clean.

Unfortunately, hard minerals, pharmaceuticals, and disinfectants like chlorine and chloramine, as well as other contaminants are invisible. Simply put, water isn't what it once was. For most businesses fresh, clean, soft water is not just a "nice to have"-it's a "need to have."
Services
Almost four decades ago, founder and president of De Anza Water Conditioning, John Schafer, entered the water treatment business with a California State Contractor's license, combined with a wide and deep understanding of water- the benefits of its best and the challenges of its worst. To compete in this industry, John knew that he needed to provide customers with unique and special solutions.
We want to wash dishes and laundry in soft water so our clothes last longer, we use less soap and detergents, and our appliances last longer. Commercial operations want filtered water to lower maintenance costs on boilers, water heaters, dishwashers, and manufacturing equipment.

Whether you need a softener, filtration system, or reverse osmosis drinking water system, we have the equipment you need to solve the problem: Kinetico Water Systems, the best systems on the market today.Non-Electric - Only Kinetico uses the kinetic energy of moving water to power its systems.
With our simple water softening system, you can begin enjoying the benefits of soft water right away. What's more, you'll be protecting your family and home from unwanted, harmful, and corrosive contaminants in the water. No more dry skin and hair, hard water spots, premature failure of water heaters, stiff or dingy clothes, green or rust stains-just soft, filtered water 24/7.
Ever notice white deposits forming on your pots and pans? Feel like you're shelling out more money on plumbing? Realize that your skin feels leathery and hair feels dirty no matter how many showers you take? You need a water softener. Hard water is softened by removing calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese.
When it comes to purity, it's not what's in your water-it's what's NOT in it. Our Kinetico Water Systems can be used on well water or city water. We use specialty media to remove the harsh effects of chlorine and chloramine, iron, sulfur, manganese, and arsenic. They can balance the pH. Kinetico's engineered filters and membranes remove sediment, foul smells, rust or blue-green stains, bad tastes, and corrosive properties.

I think Kinectco is an awesome system. I received poor service during the service call and a very rude service person who did not perform the work that they claimed to have performed. I do not recommend. The service at one point was very good from this company.

Honestly, over the years of calling De Anza Water for service was never a headache. They had always been responsive and came on time and when they said they would. There were never any surprises. Admittedly, they did not have to service my unit very often because it was a well oiled machine, so to speak. My whole house water softener was installed in 2010, and at times, the water would switch over to well water. So, the unit worked extremely well in that I wouldn't notice this, but boy it was noticeable when I didn't have the unit prior to '10.

I just upgraded my 20-year-old RO system only because I knew the K5 was a huge improvement with the water pressure, speed and capacity of the amazing water produced. I can easily fill up my 3-liter CamelBak for my long hikes in no time! When I have dinner parties it fills up an entire pitcher with delicious water at lightning speed. My icemaker is connected to it, too, so my ice is as good as my water - clear, clean and delicious.

As always, the entire process went smoothly. The salesman Joe Flores was terrific: highly informative and very professional. The office team scheduled my install

Something is not right here. We have had our systems for a while now and have placed De Anza Water Conditioning systems in two properties as well as a drinking water RO system. We met with John S. and replaced our existing water conditioning system with the Kinetico system. He seemed like a great guy. We are now on our 2nd set of water filters for our drinking water RO system. This is normal for as much as we use it. All is fine there. BUT THE TROUBLE CAME once they were installed. NO WATER WOULD COME THROUGH. We have had filtration systems for 30 years so my husband is very familiar

Chris from DeAnza water conditioning helped us install their top notch "Kinetico 4040s water softener" and "Kinetico K5 Reverse Osmosis System" in our single family house in San Jose. We are extremely delighted the way Chris provided his excellent support during installation of these systems. He explained all things in great detail, went over all aspects of installation, maintenance etc.

DeAnza water conditioning is a great company in the business for very same reason: it has employed people like Chris who knows the job at best, leaving lasting impression on minds of buyers

Very poor communication and returning calls. They will tell you they will call you back and never do. We had the Vice President of the company come over and gave us a price. We had called him back to do the job and never heard back from him. Then I called the office and asked for him they put me on hold to tell me he would call me back and never called. Out of all companies I called these were the worst ever. So can you imagine if they do the job and something goes wrong.

I was looking for a good water softener for a long time. Several years ago I consulted Costco and they sent a lady to my house for consulting and water testing. The lady was nice but she didn't know much about installation details the price was too high (more than what I paid now). Then I consulted another company and the guy mentioned that since my foundation was slab, he couldn't do much about my backyard irritation system and I would end up using soft water for my plants.

I finally had enough with hard water for water stains and hair loss. So I started shopping around again and read

The unit leaks again. This is the third time. I called De Anza Water Conditioning and they say the earliest for someone to come (for almost $150 for the visit) is a week from today. The unit is in warranty. Why should I be charged for the visit ?

De Anza Water conditioning is consistently over delivering. My first installation was in 2008. Ever since then, when ever I have had a question or concern they were no more than a phone call away. Always on top of things and super helpful.

I never knew the importance of soft water until now. One of my friends recommended De Anza because we had really hard water and we just got new copper plumbing. Our water is really hard, about 20 grains, so we wanted to get a water softener to protect our new plumbing. After tons of research we decided to go with De Anza since their units are non electric and has a carbon filter. We had our water softener installed in August 2018 and so far it was been fantastic. John gave us a quote and Chris did our installation. Chris showed up on time and did a great job. The copper lines are nice and clean

Do yourself a favor. If you're considering a home or business water softener system, call De Anza Water Conditioning first. Forget about hours and hours of research looking for the "cheapest" solution. De Anza's Kinetico water softeners aren't the cheapest on the market, but their designs are unique, robust and more than justify the investment. In addition, the folks who work for DAWC, from the front office, to sales, to installation technicians, are friendly, well-informed, experienced and super friendly. They treat you like part of the family. My wife and I couldn&apos

Awesome customer service! I had my Kinetico 4040S Water Softener serviced - Chris showed up exactly on time and got the job done in under an hour. We saw some water pressure issues in the kitchen, he stuck around well beyond the service call to help troubleshoot and find out what was going on...talk about going above and beyond for the customer.

Pleasure to do business with. Thanks again!!

I just have to report here after a rude encounter with their representative. I was looking for someone to install a replacement for a faucet of my reverse osmosis system, and to my surprise discovered that plumbers wouldn't touch it. One of them pointed me at this company , and it turns out they are only specific to one brand and once the rep realized I won't buy a new system he just told me 'I don't care' when I tried to ask if he can point me at where I could get help.

This is how you make sure potential future customers would never come back to your company.

I've worked with this company for the better part of 20 years. John is awesome and so is his support staff. This is the third water softener and purification system I have purchased from them. They even go to Santa Cruz where I just recently moved to. They also fix anything that goes wrong quickly and without complaints or excuses.

I would recommend them!

I have interacted with De Anza Water Conditioning three times with one decent encounter and two very distaseful experiences.

First experience (distasteful): In November 2013, I called to schedule an appointment to service my water softener unit at 1:00 PM on 11/22/2013. That day, when 2:00 PM had come and gone, I called in to ask why no one had shown up. I was told by the woman on the phone that no one was coming because apparently yesterday someone called in to reschedule the appointment to two weeks from now. How can that be? Neither I nor anyone in my home called to do this. Anyhow, I had no

De Anza Water did some refurbish work on our 10 year old system and needed to come back out to complete some missing work. They charged us for a second service visit which was surprising. When we explained our dissatisfaction at being charged again, they understood the situation they were kind enough to refund it. The system is working well and gives us great quality water.

I hired DeAnza based on the fact they were the last company on record to service our water purification system before we purchased our home. We inherited the system, and the owner of DeAnza helped me understand exactly what system we had, and what service should be necessary to maintain it.

Since the last record of service was many years ago, he suggested we are overdue for a carbon replacement, which is not a cheap service... It was to the tune of $450.

The tech showed up several days later as scheduled, and on time. He was a great guy. Explained things well, and seemed to know what he was

I just LOVE these folks! They have serviced my water softener for the better part of the last 15 years: they are always on time, they are always thorough, the price is always what they said it would be when we scheduled the appointment, and they are always professional. Patrick came out a couple weeks ago to change the carbon. When he was doing it, he noticed a couple problems with the water softener and so he just fixed them without any extra charge.

Our family moved from Mountain View to San Jose recently and found out that San Jose has extremely hard water. It was ruining all of our fixtures and leaving calcium residue everywhere. Most of our neighbors have your basic Sears water softener that requires a fair amount of maintenance. I did a fair amount of research on the web and had three quotes from local vendors.

Our family chose De Anza Water Conditioning for many reasons. They were extremely responsive to my online Yelp quote request, super friendly on the phone, and they carry a very high end product. They are an authorized dealer

These guys are simply the best for top-of-the-line water purification and water softening systems for your home or business. I save an absolute fortune in buying bottled water by having a K5 reverse osmosis system in my home. Delicious filtered water with no chemical traces at all - even arsenic is removed - and perfect ice. I also have a water softening system with chloramine filter to protect my copper pipes from pitting. Kinetico might be more expensive than other brands, but trust me when I say you get what you pay for! The quality is simply unrivaled in the marketplace. Top-notch service and

Again, I've lucked out with vendors with a new property I recently purchased. I knew beforehand that I'd most likely work with De Anza Water Conditioning because my in-laws have enjoyed their system for many years without any concerns.

John met with me for a free estimate and explained in detail the science & technology behind their water softener/purification systems, answered any of my silly questions, and then followed-up with me afterwards to see if I had any questions. Upon approval of the contract, I spoke with Ian to arrange a time to meet with Chris the day before the install

I purchased a kinetico water softener from this outfit. I found John to be very professional and friendly and obviously believes in what he is selling. To be honest, I had some sticker shock at the price of the water softener, but I know I needed one as I tested my water several times over the years and it was super hard and taking a toll on my dishwasher, showers, washing machine and my water tasted like chlorine. The plumbing piece took about 3 hours and in about 3 days I could definitely see and feel the new soft waters effects. Also the water didn't taste like chemicals any more.
