Dave's Insulation has been serving Washington D.C. as an insulation contractor for 30 years since 1990, working for other companies, new home construction for builders, and for the general public looking to upgrade their existing home insulation. We appreciate being invited into your home, so we take our shoes off when necessary, clean up after ourselves, and give you an honest evaluation of your homes needs before proceeding.

Many older homes in Washington DC are beautiful pieces of architectural wonder, but just don't cut it compared to the newer energy star homes. We can help to retrofit your wall and attic insulation, fix uninsulated band boards in your basement, and insulate crawl spaces that cause the floor to be cold.
Why change something when it works? Fiberglass roll insulation has many benefits to add comfort to your Washington DC home and to your pocket. Fiberglass roll is the most affordable types of insulation. Since it is available in rolls and pre-cut panels, the installation quote is generally lower than the rest because it takes less time to install.
If you answered YES, your best solution for your buck is Polyurethane Spray Foam insulation. Although many may feel hesitant to try this method, you shouldn't overlook it especially if you own an older home. Polyurethane Spray Foam is ranked the highest in the market of resistant value at R-7 per inch.
Heat always rises and that's why your mother made sure you had something to cover your head during winter. Likewise, if you do not have proper insulation in the most important area in your home, "the attic, " you will be steaming-off money and be left with an empty cold bank account. 90% of US homes are under-insulated and for good reason we beat China, ranking number one, as The Leader in Wasting Energy (according to Forbes 2013).
Air Sealing is even more important than good insulation. You can have a house that is R-50 but if its drafty, cold air is still going to get inside. You can save huge on your utility bills. As cold air enters and heat escapes you are causing a cycle of ventilation that makes you lose your heated air.

Thank you Dave for the great work and customer experience you showed us this week. This is a practise that I thought had been lost. You showed us that as a customer, we are number one. Thank you for not selling us something we didn't need. I was looking to get the walls filled will foam, when the real problem was elsewhere and repaired at the fraction of the cost. Honesty goes a long way. I will let all my friends know who to call for their insulation needs. Thanks again Dave.
We definitely will see you again.
