Services
The Montessori classroom is designed to be inviting, calm, and structured to allow the child the ability to learn academic and real-life skills. Socialization is learned naturally with daily interactions during snack, group, and work time. Children are able to work independently or in a small group.
Food prep activity of cutting an apple encourages healthy eating, an important life skill. The Montessori classroom provides a prepared environment where children are naturally driven to work and learn. The child's inherent love of learning is encouraged by giving them the opportunity to engage in meaningful hands on activities.
Our K4 & K5 Kindergarten program is an extended learning day for older children. Our K4 & K5 children join with our preschool children for the morning session, creating a mixed age classroom that fosters a positive learning community. In this environment, the younger children are able to observe and learn from their older peers and the older children mentor and lead the younger children.
We provide a high quality Montessori curriculum and all enrolled students are eligible for Childcare; full time or part time. This is my daughters second year at small world Montessori school and I personally could not be happier with the school. My daughter started when she was 2 yrs old and has come along leaps and bounds since attending small world. Since starting at small world I have watched her independence and the need to learn grow so much, this is down to the amazing teachers at small world, they understand that every child is different and that every child works at there own pace.
