Hunt's Resort is a small family resort featuring cabins for rent on Lake Minnewaska, MN. With our cabins located just a few feet from the lakeshore, guests are guaranteed incredible scenic views. Our cabins are modern, comfortable, and fully furnished with full kitchens, beds, futons, plus all you need for housekeeping.
Located on Lake Minnewaska, Hunt's Resort is the perfect place to start your ice fishing outing. Lake Minnewaska is known for great fishing, with good popultations of Bass, Northern, Walleye, Crappie, Sunfish, Bluegill, and Bullhead. At Hunt's Resort, we have a number of services to help make sure you're prepared to go out on the ice: Full Bait Shop Fish House Rentals Fishing tackle C-Store.
Hunt's Resort has a sandy beach area for your enjoyment along with paddleboats and a lakeshore playground area. There are grills, picnic tables and lawn chairs for your use. Hunt's Bait & Convenience Store features live bait and a large variety of tackle. We sell grocery items, milk, pop, ice, licenses and souvenir clothing.
Glenwood is located in west central Minnesota and is easily reached on Minnesota highways from the primary Interstate routes 94 or 29. Minnesota highways 28/29 and 55 directly service Glenwood. The Twin Cities are 140 miles southeast of Glenwood. And when coming from the southwest, you will find us 4-5 hours from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Sioux City, Iowa area.

Avoid all these run-down lake resorts. Head to a decent hotel in Glenwood instead. Our family left early we had so many problems with it.
First of all, you only need to drive by the place to see it's a dump. Yes, the fact it's a trailer park doesn't help but they have clearly made no effort to clean the place up. The cabins are scattered around near the lake with random metal pieces, sheds, and vehicles laying around that obscure any view you could have gotten of the water. The "nice beach" is filled with more of this junk, but at least the rickety dock had a stunning view of the sunset.

Stopped by Hunt's Resort to inquire about a boat rental. Asked the woman attendent about the boats and fishing pole rental. She was very unfriendly and we got the impression she didn't want to be bothered. I called the next day to reserve a platoon boat, the same woman answered the phone said she was in the cleaning mode - call back. Called back several times leaving messages. No return call. My husband called that evening and luckily a gentleman answered the phone and took our reservation. Thankfully the gentleman was there upon our arrival and his service was great.

If I could give them negative stars I would. I had them repaint my dock panels but I came back this weekend to put the dock in and one panel that they supposedly fixed was a totally different shade from the other panels it was still dirty it and had paint flaking off so it obviously wasn’t serviced. On top of that it was bowed in the middle and had a huge dent on of the edges. We called them to ask about it and the guy on the phone told me to ask my neighbors about it because it was fine when they had it when the thing is obviously aged from the sun and weather and not fine at all. Horrible service. DO NOT buy a dock system from them. Once they have your money you will never hear from them again. Customer service is terrible. Needed simple servicing done to our dock that we purchased from them & they ended up damaging our dock & refused to take responsibility for it. Owner was extremely rude as well. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere,

There web site is miss leading with the pictures, when we got to the cabin it was not what we thought it was witch was fine until the toilet started leaking from the shut off valve, the shower is either very hot or very cold there is no medium, the chandelier from the fan was broken and was dropping little shards of glass on the rug below, one of the chairs had a sharp pice of mettle sticking out of the back witch one of my kids cut herself on, the refrigerator made a very loud noises, it was not well equipped with cleaning supplies, the AC did not cool off much of anything, and the water was green
