Dr. Gallo is the founder of and head psychiatrist at South County Psychiatry. As a Rhode Island native, he is an alumnus of Providence College, where he completed the honors program before pursuing his graduate studies at Boston University School of Medicine. After completing his residency there, he worked in various community hospitals throughout Massachusetts before returning to Rhode Island.

I’ve been with Dr. Gallo approximately a year now and I have nothing but positive things to say. I interviewed about a dozen other care providers before choosing Dr. Gallo. The difference for me was he conveyed a sense of humanity and basic decency where he others were cold, if not downright callous. Dr Gallo goes above and beyond his role as provider. He is very sincere and really cares about his patients. I am very comfortable talking with Dr Gallo about how I’m feeling physically, but very comfortable on a personal level too. He’s is always on time, and very easy to get in touch with. Dr Gallo’s staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions I have about prescriptions, appointments, or anything else I need help with. I give Dr Gallo and his staff 5 stars.
