Atterdag Kids provides an extensive selection of designer clothing and accessories for children and babies. Nestled 35 miles north of Santa Barbara in the quaint town of Solvang, CA, our store first opened its doors in 2005. AtterdagKids has filled our shelves with beautiful children & baby boutique clothing and accessories, for newborns on up to young teens.

We were walking around town all morning shopping and had amazing customer service... until we got here. The woman at the cash register didn't greet us, didn't smile our way or seemed at all welcoming. A lot of the toy items could be found at other shops that were friendlier. I did end up purchasing because I love supporting small business but I would not come back especially with other children shops in walking distance.

I really don't want to support a local business with such terrible service. This store does have cute things and a nice selection, but I got such terrible vibes from the shop clerk. I would have left without buying anything, but my son wanted a toy I had been promising him, and this store had it.
There was no greeting when I came in. The clerk kept on staring at me suspiciously. I did try to leave because who would want to give business to such a nasty person? However, my kid was crying for his toy, so I bought it grudgingly. And still no hello or thank you when the clerk rang up

I was trying to replace a stained lovey for my son and I got the color wrong-- I'm a rookie mom and I saw how crucial this stuffed toy blankie was for my sons sleep and was imagining future of sleepless nights with "the wrong one!"
Laura from Atterdag was amazing --she sent me the right color and an envelope with the return address for the wrong product (again, which was my fault as I admitted to her in an email).

Great kids boutique in the neighborhood. The owners stocks brands including Skip Hop, Green Toys, Haba, plan Toys, Mary Meyer and more! Highly recommend if you're looking for baby clothes, toys and accessories.
For toddlers, they have a small selection of clothes. However if you're looking for a cute set of toddler friendly plates, utensils and BPA free bottles this is a great stop. They offer a large variety of materials and style. My favorite is the Skip Hop brand for both durability and easy to clean.

This place, while it looks charming from the outside, has a really strange vibe on the inside. The woman at the counter suspiciously eyeballs you the entire time with an accusing stare as if you are going to steal some of her "precious wares" as you make your way through the store. We are pretty well dressed people who never even get a second glance when going about our commerce in the world and have never been profiled in any way, shape or form like we were when we went to this store. My wife and I went in there with our baby and it felt so strange with her accusing stares following

Really beautiful, well curated store. It's a great place to buy super nice quality toys and baby items. It would be a perfect place for a really nice baby shower gift.
We have many of the items she had on offer, most of our most popular with the kids things, actually. The owner was very friendly and engaged with both myself and my kids, who were delighted with the offerings. Both found something they loved and it was nice to have really nice things to choose from.

I have two little girls, and let's just say that I couldn't stop shopping for my girls. Even my macho husband got involved and picked out some cute outfits. The owner was extremely helpful, pulling new sizes out for me. As we were paying, she even threw in one of our chosen outfits for free after detecting a minor and unnoticeable stain on the inside of one of the pants!

The selection of designer infant and toddler clothing and accessories is awesome and exceeds any baby/children's section I've seen in upscale department stores. The shop isn't big, but it's jam-packed (tastefully) with the most beautiful items, especially for little girls. Service was friendly and helpful.

While visiting Solvang for the first time last week, I went in Atterdag Kids looking for a unique gift item for my grandchild and great-niece. Well, all I can say is "be careful what you wish for!!! "
The merchandise was so much more than I expected. Laura was wonderful in helping me find everything I could have possibly asked for. My shopping experience was so successful, I had to have my purchases shipped home!! (which Laura totally handled for me) After spending a couple more days in California, my package from Atterday Kids was delivered the day after my return home.

I was on vacation up in Solvang, CA with a friend that came from New Orleans, my friend is having her first Grand son and Laura the owner greeted us and was extremely helpful and gave us great customer service and also made suggestions. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE..
My friend daughter and I went here on Wednesday. We were not greeted or said goodbye too. My 3 yr old had to go to the bathroom so we left. I wanted to go back and look, but my friend reminded me that that lady was cold not to greet us and she didn't want to spend money in her store.
