We had a blast yesterday celebrating my son's first bday party. This venue is one of a kind. You can do horseback riding, swimming and many more table games and also basketball. Mr Charles the owner is there to assist together with his staff. He is very kind. Overall Royal horseshoe farm is a great venue for any type of occasion.

This was so much fun. I took my 2 teenage daughters and they loved it. We were informed on how to turn our horses, how to dodge trees, how to stop a horse if it tore off running, how to stop them, how to back up, how to go up hill and down hill. Not to let them eat while on the trail. Because of this great experience my 16 year old is seeking lessons and a summer job working with horses. We will definitely be back with a larger group. Thanks Heather and Rose.

Fantastic fun! The drive to this trail ride alone was so enjoyable. The stables were clean and organized and ready to receive us. They matched us with our horses according to our riding experience. They advised the inexperienced riders of the basics to help them stay on and enjoy their ride. Our trail ride instructor was a sweet young lady. Very experienced rider and clearly with a love of horses. She was great with instructions and leading the ride. The views were beautiful and a very fun trail to ride. Highly recommend to anyone considering this as a fun option!!

We had a birthday party here for a group of 6 year olds. After a very abrupt greeting and then yelling (screaming) at my son three times about holding his reigns incorrectly, the natural beauty of the trail rides was actually nice. The area for swimming and eating though, is filthy. There is trash strewn everywhere upstairs and furniture crammed down below. The staff and family members will also also randomly come into the indoor facility and spend time upstairs during the party itself.

We loved getting our kids pony rides at Royal Horseshoe Farm! The owner was so gracious and gave the kids extra time on the pony, showed them other animals on the farm, and was so kind to the children. We highly recommend a visit, especially if you're looking for a good outdoor activity during COVID.

We booked a 1 hour trail ride and had an absolutely wonderful time! The staff are extremely friendly and helped 3 adults who had zero riding experience feel comfortable. The horses are gentle and the view is beautiful. We rode through a stream, woods, and meadow. It's definitely worth your time and money. I would recommend going during autumn to enjoy the fall foliage.

I booked a guided trail ride this past New Year's Eve. I was thrilled that they were still offering tours on a holiday. It had been years since I'd ridden a horse but the staff was very patient and gave a quick tutorial. They are very safety oriented and make sure that all riders are comfortable and practicing safety protocols. Our guide was friendly, professional, and informative and she took us through a gorgeous trail. I got to ride Sadie, who was a gentle giant. Overall, this was a great value and the next time I'm in the area, I will book again! I would highly recommend Royal Horseshoe Farm

Horses were very calm and sweet. My 9 year old and I went. She rode bid light and I had Oakley. Bud light is probably one of the most chill lakes backed horse I've hever meet and Oakley I reminds me of a Cadillac, a big ride but very smooth and sweet to boot. He was a ver BIG guy tho. All in all it was a wonderful time.

This place is great! We arrived a little late and weren't exactly sure where to go, but we still got our full 90 minute ride. AND we were the only ones who had registered, so we got a private tour (I was afraid they might cancel rides without enough people, but they do not!). Anna was friendly and knowledgeable. Our horses, Bud Light and Russo, may have been a little tired since we were the last ride of the day, but they were well-behaved. We had so much fun, and it was the perfect way to start out our long weekend vacation. Five stars for sure!

My wife and kids (daughter 8, son 13) wanted to try horsebit riding. We arrived early and the owner allowed the kids to help brush and saddle the horses (this was a great treat for them). The owner and staff couldn't have been nicer. The ride was awesome. The trail was beautiful. I highly recommend Royal Horseshoe Farms. We will definitely visit again.

I had a really nice trail ride yesterday. I am annoyed at myself because I forget our trail guides name, I think it was Claire. She was definitely the best part of the experience, not to knock Sadie, the horse I rode. The trail guide had a wealth of information about the horses here, and horses in general. It was really interesting and I feel like I learned so much. She also explained exactly why the balls of your feet should be in the stirrups(I might be using the wrong word) and that your posture should be relaxed, to hold the reign like cups of coffee, with a close grasp so the horse kind of

We had a great time on a one hour trial ride. Rose and Kurt took great care of us (Dad and two girls 13 and 10). They found three nice horses for us and were very helpful in guiding us through the experience. Beautiful ride through the Shenandoah forest. We will be back.

We loved our trip to Royal Horseshoe Farm. We had large party of 7 people and all of us were beginners and had never done this before. The trail guides were so friendly and showed us around the stables and paired us with their wonderful selection of horses. My horse, Rosy, was obviously my favorite but all of the other horses were also just so adorable and friendly! Once we were saddled up with instructions on how to steer the horses, we set off on a lovely trail ride which was scenic and peaceful. We passed through streams, climbed sloped hills and rode along some beautiful landscape. Riding on

I hadn't been on a horse in 20yrs and my husband had never ridden one. Needless to say, with our excitement came a bit of nervousness. We arrived to the farm 30 minutes before our scheduled ride, stretched our legs after a long car ride and looked over the horses wondering which ones were ours. We walked down to the red barn and we're pleasantly greeted. After signing our waiver, we were fitted for helmets and taken to our horses.

Our trail guide, Kerry, was awesome. She helped us learn the basics of horse handling in the corral before we headed out to the trails. Throughout our ride

Great experience for all, We took our 13 year old granddaughter and her friend. Trail ride was great, terrain varies and is through a beautiful wooded hillside, meadows and stream crossings. no boredom on this ride. Carrie was a great trail ride leader and the farm is located in beautiful rural setting that makes the experience fun from arrival to departure. I have done trail rides in several other places nearby and this is the best total experience by far.

First time getting my four year old on a pony. He wanted to do it but was scared. The folks working were very understanding and when they mention sometimes you just have to put them on (which we were going to do anyway) it took my guilt away. Thank you! After a few minutes he was loving it and laughing.

What an amazing first-time equestrian experience!!

A couple friends and I were vacationing in the Shenandoah Valley and were looking to go horseback riding for the first time. We wanted to have an authentic and fun experience, which is exactly what we got.

Rita did an amazing job of teaching us about the farm, letting us get accommodated with our horses, and leading us during our 1 hour guided trail ride. She made sure to take her time with everything, making our experience a lot smoother than it would've been if we had been rushed in and out.

The prices are amazing compared to other horseback

My wife, daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed our hour and half ride across a shallow creek, up and down the hilly shaded forest path, and through a hilltop meadow. Our horses usually let us steer and control their speed, and when they didn't I think it's because they were way smarter than us and knew what to do.

As wonderful as our horses were, the absolute best part of RHF were the people - great customer service setting up the appointment, very helpful and nice getting us ready, and our guide was so patient with us and our daughter on the trail. I got the sense this was not just a

Took a group of 8 adults and kids for a 1-hour trail ride.

Really nice, clean stables and nice horses. I was very impressed that we got a lot of variety on just a 1-hour trail ride. Because of the kids, they don't recommend anything longer than 1-hour and very reasonable at $35/hr

I was expecting a flat, boring trail, but we got lots of trotting through covered forest, up and down hills and then we got to put the horses away in the field.

They don't talk a lot during the trail ride, but thats pretty nice so you can really enjoy the moment.

I look forward to coming back without the
