I am located in Louisiana and needed a funeral home to receive and prepare my brother to be shipped back to Louisiana. I reached out the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home based on Google reviews. Later when I called the MO hospital to have my brother released to Lohmeyer, I had confirmation from a staff member that Lohmeyer had taken care of her father and did a wonderful job. We selected Herman Lohmeyer for my father-in-law’s funeral based on a friend’s recommendation. Kent Franklin was our funeral director. He was phenomenal. He was the perfect blend of personal, compassionate and professional. He gave great advice leading into the funeral, handled everything during the event and was a joy to work with afterward. Truly our family has gone on and on about how great he was to work with. The rest of the staff we encountered were all great too.

My Dad passed away suddenly. Kent at the Herman H. Lohmeyer funeral home was very kind and helpful with making all the arrangements. Our family is very grateful to Kent for all of his patience, knowledge, and kindness in helping us with the decisions we needed to make. His emotional support was amazing for the family and our guests. Kent was great at communicating with the Missouri Veterans Cemetery as well. He also helped us with the paperwork we needed. Would my family use there services again ?... ABSOLUTELY!!!

Our family couldn't possible be more pleased with the service we received from Lohmeyer Funeral Home. They were extremely professional, patient and insightful. When at the last minute the Church we chose to have our service at cancelled due to a COVID exposure, they jumped through hoops to walk us through our options and were immensely helpful in ensuring we had a beautiful service for my dad. Stop looking for another funeral home. The Herman H Lohmeyer Funeral Home has presided over services for four of our family members, and they have exceeded our expectations time and time again. We never felt pressured about making decisions. When we had trouble deciding on an urn, Kent volunteered to loan us one of theirs for the service to give us more time to decide. We can also attest to being pleasantly surprised when presented with the final bill. It was less than what we had anticipated, and we considered it to be a very good value for the services they provided. We will not hesitate to use

Fast forward my Father suddenly took ill and within a Month, went Home to be with Jesus. To add to the shock of this , the Preplanned Church Service was shut down due to CV19.
Kent and Paul helped me every step of the way including opening their beautiful Chapel to my Family and I- while I had the difficult task of planning the Funeral while in another State.
If you are looking for a place that is both Professional

There are not enough words of praise in my vocabulary to describe our experience with Lohmeyer funeral home. They cared for our family when my father passed away recently and they made everything absolutely perfect for us. The warmth that came from everyone there, Kent in particular, was so touching. Their attention to every detail took so much off of our shoulders and made a very emotional time so much less stressful. It takes special people to care for those in mourning. As everyone know a loss is a sad and hard thing to deal with. All the emotions can make thing hard and stressful but I have to say the experience here was amazing and they took amazing care of my grandpa.
The service and viewing was well done and they where able to handle anything we asked.
The staff was all verify nice and respectful to everyone.
I highly recommend this place as they will take care of you in your time of need.

Lohmeyer Funeral Home is who we chose based upon cost to handle the arrangements for our mother. Joel was wonderful to work with as well as the rest of the staff. We appreciate some of the special touches they add to a very difficult time. They are the most affordable in the Springfield area. We highly recommend this business if you are unfortunate enough to need them. I have no complaints and all positive good things to say. I HIGHLY recommend Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Thank you all for making a very difficult time in our lives easier as we planned our mothers funeral.

They were wonderfully patient with us. They also were available by phone easily. We needed some time to make some decisions and such.
They treated us with just as much dignity and courtesy as they would if we had bought a casket, scheduled a visitation there on Walnut Street, used their chapel for the funeral service, etc.
It didn't seem to matter to them that all we needed and wanted was cremation.
They also had the most affordable cremation price in town, from what we could tell.

We'd had no plans in place when my mother passed away at 4:00am. The home asked us who to call and we said Lohmeyers because we knew the name from other church funerals. Joel met me there within :45 minutes, was very respectful and calm and made me very comfortable about how my mother was going to be taken care of. They handled all the cremation details, met with me concerning urns and payment the next day, got the certificates for me and filed all the paperwork. They handled everything calmly and sensitively, with no pressure to do anything other than the intended cremation.
