Services
In 1915, William Robert and Mary E. (Kennedy) Clinkingbeard, with their children, Robert, Lois and Clarence, began The Clinkingbeard Furniture and Undertaking Company, located on the west side of the town square in Ava. Clarence and Lois worked right along with their father. Lois was the bookkeeper and secretary.

Please call us at (417) 683-4115 to make arrangements in person with a caring professional. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Staff members of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. We were blessed to work with Dave for 19 years.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

The people that work here are extremely helpful and incredibly professional. They made the planning process incredibly easy for us. I'm glad because at that point I wasn't in the best frame of mind.

The funeral went much better than
