Safety Harbor is located on Old Tampa Bay within the Golden Triangle of Florida's Suncoast formed by Clearwater, Tampa, and St. Petersburg. This quaint town exudes an "Old South" charm and serenity enhanced by centuries old brick streets and Spanish moss draped trees. This quiet village is nestled amidst towering majestic oaks and offers a refreshing break from the hustling, modern day pace.

Hernando DeSoto discovered the original "Fountain of Perpetual Youth, " sought by Ponce deLeon, here in the headwaters of Old Tampa Bay back in the 1500's. The museum, art gallery, library, scenic Safety Harbor Pier and Marina and moderately priced restaurants are within walking distance.

I LOVE this motel. The owners Doug and Michele are the sweetest people. The rooms are immaculate and they have the best prices in Pinellas County. I would happily recommend staying here to anyone.

Felt like a true piece of paradise, a real hidden gem. So grateful to have stumbled upon such a cozy, quiet and serene little abode. I just absolutely adored the ocean themed decor in the charming little room we stayed in. An absolute beautiful experience from start to finish, complimented by the unmatched kindness and care from the owners. Hope to be back many times again, in the future. Thank you for the sincere hospitality.
Sincerely,
Sarah

Safety Harbor Motel was a great place to stay! Doug and Michele were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. I was there for 12 nights, my son was there for 4 nights and our friends, an extended family from New Zealand, were there for 11 nights. Doug and Michele worked with me to make sure everyone had suitable rooms for our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The efficiencies have a bed, two burner stove, mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave and assorted dishes. The one bedroom apartment has 2 beds, a roomy kitchen-living room, bathroom with tub/shower combo. The kitchen has a full sized

Stayed here for a week while on business. Best choice ever. Next to downtown Safety Harbor where there are a ton of mom and pop restaurants, shops, and places to get a cold one. They are one mile to the pier/harbor, where I ran every night. Always felt safe. And definitely go on the "3rd Friday" of the month. They block off the streets for a festival and the town really comes to life. Will definitely come back. Thanks Safety Harbor Motel.

I was coming down for a week stay to help relocate a relative. Wanted somewhere with reasonable rates. Very good choice! I was worried that I might find that "musty odor" but there was none what so ever. Owner called me on the day of my arrival to confirm and said he was turning the air on before he left and told me where I could find the keys. We stayed in the 2 dbl bed apt. So we had room to sprawl out. I left after a week but it turned out my nieces apartment would not be ready for another month so she extended her stay there the entire month. I felt comfortable leaving my young adult niece
