JamJev is a gymnastics organization specializing in Recreational, Compulsory, & Optional gymnastics. Founded in 2008, Dara & John Lowery are committed to excellence in every aspect. As a Husband/Wife team they are able to work together to meet the needs of all gymnasts. Dara was a previous University of Alabama gymnast and her experience is evident at JamJev.

Services
Our coaches are qualified and well-trained and will determine where your athlete will fit and feel most successful. We teach basic to high-level gymnastics skills in a safe environment, using appropriate techniques and lead-ups to every skill. Recreational gymnastics provides an introduction to movement and gymnastics elements with the goal of learning more about the sport.
Children will be taught introductory gymnastics skills and body positions that will help develop coordination, balance, strength, and body awareness. Children also practice social skills such as working with a group, waiting your turn, listening to directions, and following directions. Our Pullover Class is designed to help Jammer 1s master their pullover on the uneven bars.

Everything here is good so far. I have 2 girls that attend and this is their first time in gymnastics. However, the faculty just needs a changing room, more bathrooms or both. We usually change in car because waiting to use the bathroom can take 5 - 10 minutes; when others are using it for privacy to change clothes.

The coaches and coach techniques and strategies are excellent. My daughter has also made good friends with her teammates. The goal is about reaching your personal best and working to your greatest potential. You really get a sense that everyone cares about each other, too. Communication is excellent between coaches and parents.

JamJev is full of experienced coaches who care about solid fundamentals, strength & safety. Dara & John Lowery - (owner operators/ husband & wife team) are knowledgable, extremely consistent, strong leaders, and dedicated to character building. My child is being taught well with a great deal of kindness. We have been at JamJev for 2.5 years participating in the team competitive program and have been more than pleased with all things related to training.
