Services
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our practice. We are committed to doing everything possible to provide you with high quality, state-of-the-art periodontal and implant care and also to make your visit to our office a pleasant experience. Be sure to bring a list of all medications, including any natural supplements, with dosages, that you take.
We will assist you in determining what portion of your treatment is covered by insurance. Please understand, however, that you are ultimately responsible for payment of all services. Should your insurance not cover what is predicted, you will be responsible to pay any uncovered portion. Our knowledgeable staff will work with you to ensure any portion of treatment not covered by insurance is affordable.
The word "periodontal" means "around the tooth." Periodontal disease (also known as "gum disease, " "pyorrhea" or "periodontal infection") is an ongoing bacterial infection in the gums and bone around your teeth. This infection leads to an inflammation under the gums and if not treated, can destroy the bone around your teeth.
Periodontal disease leads to inflammation of the gums. This inflammatory bacteria then enters your bloodstream and travels throughout your body. Researchers have linked this process to a number of serious medical conditions. It is important to treat periodontal disease as quickly as possible to avoid the release of bacteria into your bloodstream.
Periodontal Disease is similar to other chronic diseases, such as Diabetes. The key to control is early diagnosis and treatment, followed by prompt, ongoing treatment. This entails periodontal maintenance procedures (PMP). PMP helps in gaining control of the disease and increases your chances of keeping your teeth.

Dr. Gross is a personable periodontist who does excellent work. Tooth replacement isn't fun, but Dr. Gross and his staff make the process comfortable and such that it won't need to be redone in the future.

I would not recommend Dr. Gross for anyone who has fears of dental work. My anxiety regarding any dental work has gone through the roof from being a patient of his. I felt like I was belittled and talked-down to throughout the time I saw him and never got full instructions or concrete steps that were needed to remedy the problem I was seeing him for. I will not return, nor recommend this practice.

I cannot more highly recommend the practice of North Penn Periodontal Associates which is owned, administered, and implemented by Dr. Howard Gross and his staff of professionals. He and his group have treated me both surgically as well as preventively for the past 15 years, on a continuing basis. They have certainly been responsible for the retention of several portions of my teeth during this period of time, and in a most cost effective way.

I became a patient at North Penn Periodontal Associates (Lansdale, PA) about 5 years ago, when my old implant, which had replaced a broken front tooth failed. Before I went to NPPA I consulted 2 implant specialists who told me that the implant could not be replaced: the bone had deteriorated and there was nothing to anchor a new implant. My only… option, I was told, was a dental bridge, either removable or permanently attached. Neither would give me the natural appearance or stability I wanted.
Then I met with NPPA. I was carefully evaluated and was given another option that was a better

I have been a patient at North Penn Periodontal Associates for over 30 years, and I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else. Howard Gross is brilliant at what he does, with a gentle touch. He is honest and professional. Their prices are competitive with other periodontists (I've checked). I have had numerous implants done with no pain or… complications. Not only is Dr.Gross fantastic, but the entire staff from the front desk to the techs to the assistants are wonderful, professional and truly the most caring group of people in any kind of medical office I've visited. I actually look forward

There aren't many dentists I think highly of. I had too many bad experiences as a child and that was how at my young age, I needed a periodontist. Now the reason I hated going to the dentist was the fact they made you feel worse about yourself. Dr. Howard Gross never did that. There was no judgment. He pretty much laid out the game plan and… after 3 years of surgeries and braces, you don't know how much I appreciate his hard work. I can smile without feeling self-conscious and NO bleeding! I will tell you that he cares about your mouth and makes the best effort. How many dentist will get
