We encourage everyone to contact us as soon as a medical appointment is scheduled. We routinely have trips scheduled 2-3 months in advance. If the medical appointment is changed or cancelled, contact us so we can update your booking. Appointment time (if you need to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork, that is the time we need to know).

Angel Wheels Transportation Inc. was started in 2009 with the mission to provide the best transportation under heaven for people dependent on wheelchairs. Your trust is incredibly important to us. Whether you are the one being transported, a family member, a facility administrator or other medical professional, we recognize you are entrusting us with someone that is vulnerable and dependent on others for assistance and we value that.
We know how stressful the sudden illness of a loved one can be. Arranging medical transportation for someone who has just been released from the hospital or rehab facility, who is unable to walk or get into a car can be overwhelming. Relax and call us -this is what we do. Wheelchair transportation to medical appointments is our specialty.
We know that healthcare professionals have different concerns and questions about the outside service providers that will be transporting their patients and residents. The information below outlines how we operate and our business practices along with some practical 'hands-on' suggestions for your nursing and floor staff regarding patient transport outside of your facility.
Most health insurance carriers do not cover the cost of transportation to and from a medical appointment except in certain cases where an emergency ambulance is required. We will provide you a detailed receipt for tax or reimbursement purposes. Illinois Medicaid is a state-run medical program for low income people and those with disabilities, sometimes called 'public aid'.

Steve was very thorough, extremely helpful, and above all - empathetic and caring. For days, we have been dealing with hospital / doctor / ambulance people whose first and only questions are basically "what insurance do you have and what can we bill you for?". But today, it was great dealing with an actual human being who wants to be sure the patient will be properly cared for, (not just dumped in a parking lot with a 'good luck' wave). Thanks, Steve - you are awesome.

I can not say enough good things about this company. Steve was so helpful, he couldn't do enough to help us. We had an emergency and needed immediate transportation, Steve made it happen at last minute notice. David and Steve were so gentle and kind to her during transport, and understood her needs with her demenria. Will never use another company.

My experience started on the phone with Steve. My parents and I were in a bind trying to find a medical van on short notice. He could not have been more calming and patient. He was a true Angel. Our driver, Bob, was also amazing. I will not hesitate to use this company again and I will recommend Angel Wheels to all of my family and friends.
