Kris Kurnat hails from southern Poland, born into the Gorale highlanders, a people known for having craft in their hands, thanks to their centuries-long traditions of craftmanship and carpentry. Kris moved to the United States in 2002 and jumped into the woodworking industry, apprenticing for commercial contractors and working for framers and general contractors, eagerly soaking in everything there is to know about residential building.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
They did trim work in the ground floor of my house and it looks great. I asked Kris if he could build and install custom cabinets in the master bath. He agreed to do it. I assumed that cabinets were being built in his shop but instead he blew me off not returning any messages or calls. I cannot recommend Kurnat.

We hired Kris at Kurnat Woodworking last April. He built us three amazing bookcase/cabinets. They are so well built that they look like they came with the house. His team are professional, hard working and clean up after themselves. They are all amazing craftsmen. They show up on time and do an amazing job. They also call to make sure you are happy. They are truly wonderful and you won't be disappointed. Wish I could give them ten stars.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Kris and his team are the most talented carpenters that I have ever used. I sent Kris a bunch of pictures of what I liked and then he sent me multiples designs (professional renderings). We made a few tweaks and then he got to work. To say that he exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. There is no chance you will be disappointed with Kris. I can’t wait to find more projects for them.

Perfection! We just completed a kitchen update using our existing custom wood cabinets. Kris and Team refinished cabinets to a White Factory Finish in our home and added trim and woodworking to enhance and update kitchen. Kris and his team are exceptional craftsmen and their attention to detail from start and prep to finish is really impressive. We are so pleased with the results and the quality of the finished product.
