In his early formative years his "hands on" experience included working in every faucet of residential construction including: framing, roofing, concrete work, finished carpentry, drywall installation, grading, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. Michael sees this as a critical phase of his development stating "Before becoming a builder, it's important to master the many components of building.
Since each subcontractor has their own sub-language and unique skill set.A master builder must know the "do's and dont's" of each sub. How else could he perform quality control? After several promotions Michael became the Construction Superintendent of a large multi-million dollar custom builder. Running as many as 40 residential construction sites at one time.
