DL Morgan Jr. took an interest in excavation during his high school years in the 1970's. Working for his parents, he gained experience completing site work for various sized projects. After purchasing his first backhoe around 1980 he offered excavation, drilling, and blasting through his company DL Morgan Jr.
INC. based in Shepherdstown, WV. In the early 80's, he built the concrete plant on the Inwood Quarry property and began selling ready-mix concrete to the tri-county area of the Eastern Panhandle. DL later had the opportunity to purchase Inwood Quarry from Mary & Gene Combs in 1998 when they retired from the business.
