Our reformer classes are limited to 5, so we can provide personal attention and modifications. Classes are leveled and change monthly. High-energy & dynamic, Total Barre integrates elements of Pilates, dance, cardio & strength training. Mat uses a system of controlled movements that blend strength and flexibility to create lean muscles, improve posture and balance the body.

Tidal Pilates, established in 2014, is the only exclusive Pilates studio located in New Smyrna Beach, FL. We have over 14 years of experience teaching Pilates to a wide range of clientele. Whether you are looking for a beginners workout, a high intensity class or rehabbing an injury, we have a class for you.
Jessica Howard is a STOTT PILATES(R) Lead Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness and a STOTT PILATES fully certified Pilates instructor. Jessica started doing Pilates in 1998. Soon after, she realized she wanted to become an instructor. In 2000, Jessica enrolled in the STOTT PILATES mat course.
If you are new to Pilates, we suggest starting with our FREE consultation. During your consultation, you will experience what Pilates is all about. The instructor will analyze your posture, teach you the basic principles of Pilates, and put you through a workout. After your full consultation, we will determine which package or class is right for you.
Pilates is a low impact anaerobic form of exercise. It strengthens the body from the inside out, working the smaller deeper muscles of the spine and joints. It is a total body workout that focuses on building muscle strength without adding bulk. Pilates is challenging yet safe and gentle for all ages.
A private session is the most effective way to learn Pilates. You will work one-on-one with an instructor. The workout will be customized to your fitness goals, muscle imbalances, and the presence of any injuires or issues. Most of your workout will be taught on the STOTT PILATES V2Max Reformer. The reformer is a specialized designed piece of equipment for Pilates.

Just did my first Barre class with Alice. It was great, I broke a sweat and definitely felt challenged. Alice is super sweet and helpful, if you're new to her class she will stand by you and walk you through the moves. The place is small which is nice because it's not nearly as intimidating as being in a large class. Highly recommended!

Tidal Pilates is a large, clean, well-run fitness studio with the nicest staff of highly-trained Pilates instructors, Jessica and Alice. They treat each student as an individual, remembering their pain issues and fitness needs, even everyone's Reformer settings! The results, even after only a few classes, are amazing in increased strength and balance for every day living.

My husband and I have taken classes at Tidal Pilates and always walk away feeling refreshed and energized. This type of exercise is ideal for people who have physical limitations or for those just starting out. It's gentle and doesn't require hopping around or doing strenuous exercise. Pilates has been the only form of exercise we can engage in after multiple car accidents that resulted in back and neck injuries. Finding Jessica, the owner of Tidal Pilates, is one of the best things ever to happen to me. When I started with the free consultation, I told her that I might not be able to do Pilates. I am almost 70, overweight, and out of shape.
But miracle of miracles – I stuck with it, and I am so happy I did. So far, I have gone to about 20 sessions. Working with the reformer machines has been great, and I appreciate Jessica’s focus on my balance and posture.
The workout for the legs and arms is much more effective than the machines at my gym. And the focus on abs is definitely what I need.

Who says NSB is a sleepy town?! If you are looking to get active this is the place to do it! Jessica explains each movement, making Pilates accessible to everyone. My mother regularly attends classes with Jessica in a combination of classes using both floor/mat activities and the reformer machines. During our session, we used the mats, and it was fun and relaxing. Seriously, it was a great mother-daughter day because Jessica's passion for her students and her love for Pilates really glowed the entire time we were there.
