Aside from our Daily Sandwiches, Salads and Coffees, we make CATERINGS for special occasions with home-made foods that are not on our menu. We have made things like Quiches & Pastries for breakfast get-togethers to Lasagnas & Creamy Walnut Chicken for dinner parties. If you have a special occasions that requires delicious home-made foods, reach out to us using the "CONTACT US" section!

We would love to help make your occasion an amazing and memorable one! Picasso's Deli was opened in downtown Modesto in the Fall of 2000 (we can't believe it has been over 20 years already!) by owners Jordi and Margarita Camps. Picasso's Deli mixes the passions of its owners to create a unique and eclectic experience.

Fabulous lunch! For you vegetarians, the Mona Lisa on Dutch Crunch was to die for! The avocado chocolate cookies were rich and fudgy. The owners are friendly and welcoming--lovely people!

Ive had the pleasure of being a patron for over 15 years. Jordi and Margarita have created a ever evolving atmosphere that is warm and inviting. A wonderful blend of thought provoking art and food created with heart and soul. The Caesars salad with their zingy Homemade dressing and croutons is my go to. Tomato bisque is a taste of home. Their unique sandwiches are made with nothing but the freshest ingredients and thoughtfully prepared. Perfect for catering a business lunch, and offers downtown delivery. A large variety of flavors for every unique palate. If your looking for a change of pace, this

We loved Picasso's!
This was my first time here at this restaurant. The staff was super nice and friendly. I am a vegetarian so I asked if I could alter one of the menu items which was a turkey sandwich- and of course they said yes! They added tomato and sprouts and left off the meat!
The tomato bisque soup was divine ! Heavenly! So delicious.
I will definitely be back. All of the art inside was beautiful as well! Very creative !
Thank you!

Great Menu. Great Service. Reasonable good pricing. Paid parking lot nearby.

If I were to make one change, it would be to make an effort to reduce plastic usage. We ordered one sandwich and two small containers of salads. For some reason, the order taker asked my companion if it was okay to split the sandwich between two containers.

So we ended up with two clamshells. Each held 1/2 sandwich and a salad that was already in a plastic container. As a matter of fact, if I were to make two changes, I'd wrap sandwiches in paper to reduce the plastic load (and costs) even more.

The food itself

I absolutely loved it. Usually I just go to starbucks but I wanted to support local and I am very glad I did. The service was exactly what you want from a small business, the worker was extremely kind and helpful. The coffee was very good and I would definitely go back for food next time. The inside was very clean which is always great to see.

I got the van goh which was a roast beef sandwich with au ju and a side of their well known tomato soup and it was delicious. They were so nice to move around chairs to accommodate me and my mother who both have small babies and even went to the fountain to pour our drinks. Great service and quality of food!

Picasso's is my go-to downtown lunch spot! I have been coming here since I started working in the area in 2018 and they have never disappointed. The owner and his team are so welcoming and genuinely appreciate your business. Their sandwiches are delicious and I always struggle to decide between the pesto pasta or potato salad--they both are so good! This is the type of place that I truly love to support. They brighten my work day!

Yes! I had the Sunrise breakfast sandwich today. So good. Fresh local bread and amazing service. Se planned to grab the food to go but enjoyed hanging on the patio. The owner came out and was so helpful and happy we were loving it all.
Thank you so much, for being open, but more for your friendliness.

It was January and I was in downtown Modesto to sign papers on a flip house I was buying.

After signing my wife and I were looking for a place to have lunch. We drove by this place and decided to go in.

First let me tell you they have regular sandwiches and soup. Nothing special BUT it is incredibly special.

It was the best most perfectly assembled sandwich I have ever had and the freshest most delicious soup.

The owners are incredibly charming and the story of the decor is fascinating. I will not tell you the secrets as you must go in to have a sandwich and hear the owners tell you the

Always a good choice downtown, I recommend the half sandwich and cup of soup combo, a good way to try their different creations. They usually have tomato soup (but not always) if they have it-get it, it is delicious. It gets pretty busy at lunchtime, so go early or later to avoid the noon rush. Order at the counter and they bring it to you at your table.

I've been coming here for years and it is always a delight! Make sure you come in for prime lunch hours-- they close at 3! Their Kingman sandwich is my favorite, and I always order a pesto pasta to go along with it! Sometimes I'll order their delicious tomato soup on the side! The owners are very kind and wonderful people and the artwork is done by the owner, as well; such a very talented person! This will always be one of my favorite lunch spots! I highly urge you to visit this place!

My first time here. My friend and I came here because it had good reviews. They did not disappoint. I got the tomato soup and salad. Everything tasted so fresh. The owner is a gentleman and was proud to tell me he'd been open for just about 20 years. Great Modesto pride. I will definitely be back for the soup. So delicious.

So here's the thing... this was my first time coming into the restaurant and have always been nervous to try their food. I was offered a sample of their tomato pesto soup and was so taken with the flavor that I completely forgot to take pictures of the food! You guys have gotta try their food. I ordered the Pablo Picasso (Turkey, bacon, tomato on ciabatta). It was absolutely delicious.

Delicious and Unique!

This deli is one of a kind and a jewel in downtown Modesto. Their tomato pesto soup is oh so delicious and heartwarming. Not to mention the yummy pasta salad with thick flakes of Parmesan cheese! I've tried the paninis and some sandwiches here and I'm so impressed by the freshness and taste of every bite! I love the artwork that's on display and the beautiful painted tables.
Be sure to stop in for lunch!

Good Afternoon Yelpies!!
I can't say anything bad about this amazing place. Your will not find a better place to enjoy great food, people and the environment. The owner Jordi is an amazing artist in multiple levels from a real artist to an artist with food. Don't take my word for it .. Just get in here and eat and walk away with a work of art.
