Dr. Abdy, as his patients like to call him, co-founded MD Periodontics with his wife and partner, Dr. Nazanin Daneshmand, in 2002. Their mission was to offer Southern Californians a state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary dental practice offering holistic, cosmetic, orthodontic, and implant dentistry, in addition to unsurpassed periodontal care, in a single clinical setting.
Since co-founding MD Periodontics over 18 years ago, Dr. Nazanin Daneshmand has been dedicated to providing unsurpassed periodontal care, holistic dental care, and state-of-the-art implant dentistry to Southern Californians. Dr. D, as she is known to her patients, received her Board Certification in Periodontics and Implantology from USC in 2003 after graduating from USC with her DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) in 1998.
Lorie Campbell has been in the dental field for over thirty years and takes great pride in facilitating our patients' treatment experience. As a patient liaison, she will guide you through interpreting insurance benefits and coordinating treatment so that your overall experience is hassle-free and positive.

Recently I had some bad luck with my dentist of 25 years and needed a second opinion on some urgent dental work. I reached out to MD Periodontics and they could not have been more informative, resourceful and thoughtful. This convinced me to put the state of my mouth in their hands. That proved to be one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. Not only were they able to assess my situation within minutes but scheduled me for a much needed surgery within 48 hours. The staff and doctors could not be more professional, informative, warm and welcoming. The office is a perfect combination of professional and welcoming too! They have the MOST up to date equipment— so impressed and thrilled because it’s really helping me with my all around oral health. So glad to have finally found a dental home. Dr.s Moshrefi and Daneshmand are extraordinary. Not only highly skilled but the kind of heart that is rare to find in the medical world. Actually, the kind of heart that’s rare to find, period!
An extremely abusive dentist from my childhood left me with severe PTSD and an aversion to any doctor who specializes in teeth, gums, etc., so severe that I rarely went to dentists. Not so with MD Periodontics. After the initial consultation, I needed to have a deep cleaning done to really assess the damage. Made an appointment for the next day.

I wish I was still living in California and able to going to MD Perio. They are the best. They really care about their patients and treat everyone like famiily. Unfortunately I had to move to NJ to be near family. MD Perio has taken care of me for many years and they are the BEST and the office staff is excellent also. It is very clean and calming. I wish I wasn't so far away..

If I could give MD Periodontics more than five stars I would. I love everyone at the office. Lorie is amazing. I absolutely love her. She is so sweet and caring. Dr. Abdy and Dr. Nazanin are so knowledgeable and caring. They did an amazing job on my implants. I recently met my new dental hygienist (Tiffany) and she did an amazing job. It is really worth the 2-hour round trip each visit.

Hello, my first visit was today. I was greeted by a wonderful staff that was very attentive and concerned about my procedure. The treatment was topnotch, I felt very comfortable. Dr. Moshrefi was very pleasant and explained everything step by step.

Let me first say I am the son of a well-known dentist who was gifted at what he did. So finding anyone who was good as he was has been an almost twenty-year journey. I have now found someone who fills my Dad's large shoes.

I gave MD Periodontics 5 stars for their excellence in costumer service and pristine office and staff. You’ll be assisted by Lori, an amazing manager whose character and humbleness brings peace to this very nerve wracking procedure a tooth implant may cause.
Up to now I haven’t experience pain or any uncomfortable feeling after each procedure. I’m getting a tooth implant and I can say each cent spend is a good investment with MD and their amazing team!

MD Periodontics is great! Dr. Moshrefi and Dr. Daneshmand are awesome, and I'd definitely recommend them to friends or family. I have receding gums, so they clean my teeth with care and sensitivity. They make sure to measure my gums each time to check if recession has progressed. Dr. Moshrefi recently did a gum graft for me and I am so impressed with the results. It was quick and painless, and the recovery has been easy so far. He even called me that night to make sure I was feeling okay. Very simple process to start as a new patient and schedule an appointment initially and I have been going here for a few years now.
The care is quality - it's a very well run place both in terms of schedule, treatment, and things like billing and insurance. Getting your teeth cleaned is somehow a pleasant experience and they do a thorough job of cleaning as well checking the health of your gums and mouth as well. Also they are very responsive to questions and do a good job of explaining treatments/etc.
Also I don't think I've waited more than maybe 5 minutes or even seen another

I first went in to see Dr. Moshrefi for some on and off soreness around my upper left tooth and a bubble/pus that would come and go in my gum.
The front office staff was attentive to my request to be seen as soon as possible and went out of their way to make sure my transition into their practice was smooth and simple. They checked my insurance info prior to my arrival and when I arrived it only took a few minutes for me to be seen by Dr. Moshrefi.
Their office is beyond modern...it is the cleanest and most high tech office I have ever been to.

Dr. M and Dr. D have been my go to doctors for years! Unfortunately, a run in with a bad dentist during my youth led me to have many dental problems as I got older. As the previous work gave way, Dr. Moshrefi stepped in to make my smile beautiful again.

I had to have gum grafting/gum recession surgery. I had an incredible experience with MD Periodontics. They were very informative and knowledgeable. Laurie is amazing. She's been super helpful with financial options, payment information and thorough with pre + post op questions. I felt very taken care of. The Doc is great, super quick, attentive and makes what feels like a very difficult surgery seem seamless and easy. I feel like I got the best care I could get. I'm very grateful. Thank you!!!

I had orthodontic treatment when I was a teenager and it caused severe recession specially on my upper teeth. I didn't think the recession was that bad, but it turns out my teeth grafting was overdue and it would be a matter of time I would have to do it sooner rather than later. I reached out to Dr. Moshrefi and his team, since I heard a lot of great feedback from family and friends and it was the best decision! From day one, Lorie (Patient Coordinator) was amazing. I've been a patient of this office for 8 years. I have a genetic bone disorder that has resulted in the loss of some of my teeth. Dr. Moshrefi has done all of my implants, and I have to say I love them! I actually like them better than my natural teeth. :-). The procedures were practically painless. His office manager, Lorie, is so helpful and was able to maximize my dental benefits. The assistants are super sweet and fun. I am extremely selective with who does my dental work and I know I'm in the best of hands with Dr. Moshrefi.

Great dental office, amazing group of people working together. I had a bad root canal somewhere else and was afraid to have an implant put in after having the tooth finally pulled. Went to see Dr Moshrefi for a ceramic implant-due to Lyme disease I wanted no more metal in my mouth! The anesthesiologist he works with is also lyme aware! Woke up with relatively no pain, I actually felt better overall. I did get an infection due to my sinus cavity MARCONS infection, but was seen right away and once on antibiotics felt amazing. Would recommend to anyone but especially those with autoimmune conditions

VERY happy with my gum graft experience.
I came in a few months ago needing a gum graft on one of my front teeth. I guess a combination of genetics and me brushing too hard (mostly me brushing too hard!) meant that the gumline on one tooth randomly dropped significantly lower than those around it.
Turns out, I actually have 3 teeth that needed grafts (the other 2 have more minor recession, but are visibly irritated and missing the strongest 'band' of tissue, as Dr. Moshrefi helped show me). Dr. Moshrefi was very knowledgeable and helped to answer all of my questions. We opted to do

I can't recommend Dr. Moshrefi enough - one of the best experiences I've had with a doctor ever. He did an excellent job on my gum grafting surgery and was kind and gentle in the process. The overall experience was FAR less traumatic than I was expecting, and due in large part to Dr. Moshrefi's expertise and finesse. He took my calls after hours and on the weekend when I had concerns about my stitches and even offered to see me on a Saturday! Everything has healed beautifully and I had very little pain overall.
