Proyecto Barrio is a Latin dance company based out of Atlanta, which hosts events, as well as teaches and performs Salsa at festivals, private & corporate events. The partnership of Co-Directors Allen Germaine and Niya Patel Thomas began in 2007, when the pair met while attending Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga.
Together they share a combined dance background that includes mambo, hip hop, ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, west African, contemporary, as well as having been trained under the tutelage of world renowned choreographer/instructor Gordon Neil, and world renowned dance pioneer Joby Brava.

Add wow factor to your birthday party, corporate event, dance festival, school function, etc by having PBDC! Proyecto Barrio has performed over 200 shows in over 20 cities, and have been featured on stage in places such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., Orlando, Charlotte, Houston, Memphis, Raleigh, Philly and Miami.
The one and only salsa social in Cobb is every 3rd Saturday AT RHYTHMZ & MOTION DANCE STUDIO! The best part is that it's cheap, and if it's your birthday month, admission is FREE! We begin with a complimentary beginner class at 8:30pm. The music starts at 9:30 and we will be dancing till 1 am to the hottest salsa, bachata, and cha cha beats!
SATURDAY WORKSHOPS A LA CARTE: $25/workshop cash or $27 with credit card or 2 for $40 cash or 2 for $44 with credit card. The Doubletree by Hilton Atlanta-Buckhead is located in Tower Place Park, which is a beautiful location in Atlanta's most extravagant area, home to numerous places to dine and shop.
