This place--it's holds a special spot. Yes, the sandwiches brought me there (my staple/standard: Reuben). But, the folks-family who work there are the reason I return (I'm in town every month, and always grab a sandwich on my way out)... They're always friendly, but it's that someone adds an extra "enjoy yourself, buddy" or "take care," after the standard "thank yous" that occur at the counter, usually when I'm at the door... It makes a real difference.

Michael's is a great spot! I live around the corner from Katz's in NYC, if that gives me credibility? Michael, though different, is just as good. We took suggestions from the owner and were steered to a delicious place. I will be back and will recommend Michael's to anyone in the area. The owner is a mensch!

Suppose to be a grilled chicken sandwich. Got a lovely rubbery processed boiled chicken sandwich. Bread was soggy due to the wet boiled chicken(no grill marks, no seasoning. Could have been microwaved tyson chicken for all I know.) The tomatos were mushy. All around disgusting and the sandwich fell apart and chicken fell out as soon as I picked it up,should have got subway next door. Way over priced too, 29.70 for two sandwiches. Would not reccomend to anyone.

Eh. Sandwich was great, salami was fresh and tasty. Everything else was bad. Biali with onion had one single piece of sliced onion on it and was cold in the middle, hot on the outside. Yuck. Microwaved. Got a pastry with meat as a replacement and the dough was raw. Overall, employees are nice and the meat is good. But what goes around the meat and about everything else was subpar.

Great deli sandwiches. We stopped there recently for a quick bite of their sandwiches and it was so good. I couldn't tell how good those sandwiches were but everything was absolutely great and well-made. The restaurant was pleasant and has a nice atmosphere, staff wearing masks and gloves. Felt safe to get inside and have your sandwich for cravings. As many times as I've been here, I always look forward to it.

Michael's deli is a must stop when I'm near Brookline. Love the Reuben, went with a friend last time who ordered a pastrami knish that was awesome. Saw Steve's video and love the passion for great deli food that reminds me so much of home ( where the Yankees play). I'd give them 5 stars if they had NY style hard rolls. :-)

Michael's Deli is the place for connoisseurs. New York style sandwiches from the family business with many deli classics. I forgot once when I ordered two hotdogs that part of it has to be paid in cash. He said no problem take the hot dogs with you and next time you pay for them. I felt valued and trusted as a customer. I know such a warm behavior from the Middle East but not from the West. How human this family is. I wish you only the best, may God bless your work.

I normally don't write bad reviews for a small business that I would like to succeed as I use to frequent it a lot and this place use to be great. It's changed a lot under new ownership. If they went back to they way they were I would be back. The sandwiches use to be really cheap and you'd get a huge sandwich maybe even to big to finish sometimes. Now you get an empty sandwich wear I could eat 3 of them. Take this for what it is. The sandwich are $14. That's not cheap. So it should be filled. Good luck!

Got three sandwiches this time. The "Black and Gold" Pastrami was excellent. The Corn Beef Reuben was spot on. But the slow cooked steak and cheese was underwhelming. When I took the order in hand, I felt the sub was cold. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be toasted or not. Anyway, the steak and cheese didn't have the typical green pepper, and the taste and look just didn't do it for my friends. One person did comment that having one whole pickle wrapped in each sandwich was definitely on point for him. Oh, another thing. NO credit cards.

Had a bad experience across the street and saw this place. Nudged my coworker and was like let's go there 👉🏾 Thank goodness we did! We may have went back that entire wk lol Everything we tried was good. I love the Juban. I can't recall the name of the first sandwich but it's in the pics below. The dining space is very old school & has the NY Deli touch to it. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and very accommodating when necessary. No complaints here! They pack on the meat. Everything tastes super fresh. The pickles make it even better!

Great matter-of-fact, just eat this delicious straight-forward awesome Jewish sandwich shop.
Atmosphere/Decor: A couple of small tables lining a place that clearly looks like it takes cash only. They only give a crap about their product here, not lookin' fancy. If it keeps their prices low, fine by me. Side-street NYC deli feel.
Service: Pretty good and straight forward. I get here sometimes about 15-20 minutes before they close, and they often will try to string together something delicious -- even sometimes make it hot despite them powering things down. I wish they did stay open a little

Ok this was an overdue sandwich that was extremely good!!
The owner was very charismatic and made sure i understood the menu.
The pastrami had excellent taste and came with a free pickle.
I got coleslaw to add to the sandwich which made for a great flavor.
The bread was super fresh but i would definitely get it toasted next time because it was soft.
Hes trying to maintain a great product at a fair price to cash is king, no cards accepted.
My mom who makes her own liverwurst and can be very picky, said it was excellent. Made fresh daily!
Gotta try the knishes next time.
I could definitely eat here
