I had my first cut with Katie and I absolutely loved the experience. Katie was great about checking in frequently throughout the cut to make sure it was what I wanted. I also loved how she and Andie styled my hair and went home to many many compliments! After a few days, I decided I actually wanted even shorter of a cut and the salon was great about getting me in and giving me one of my favorite hair cuts yet! I loved this experience with Katie and Andie and absolutely plan on returning!

After reading the mostly positive reviews, I decided to schedule an appointment here to get my hair cut (sides buzzed and top trimmed), but that was a major mistake. The stylist didn't listen to me on how I normally styled my hair, and messed up bad enough that I had to go elsewhere to get it fixed. In addition they charged me for a woman's haircut despite the fact that I booked a men's appointment and specified non-binary when the form asked about gender. I have been going to Jmac since I first graduated college. Every service offered is of excellent quality, and at a fair price. Missy is an amazing esthetician and I have gotten dermaplanes, Hydrafacials, and lash lifts. Taylor and Lorna are incredibly talented! Taylor specializes in highlights. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The only salon I will ever go to or recommend to friends and family.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ASHLEY! She always does a phenomenal job with my trim and has my hair longer than its ever been. Added bonus that her pricing is beyond reasonable and she's a joy to converse with each visit, even remembering details of my personal life I forgot I even told her about. I've been coming to Jmac for years, for everything from my gel nails (Savannah), event hair for my wedding and various photo ops (Lorna/Taylor), my full highlights (Taylor), and my amazing esthetician Missy. I send everyone here!! The quality every person is trained with is outstanding, the setting is warm and friendly while always being professional, and their prices are some of the very best in Columbus while not sacrificing the experience. I love coming to a JMAC! Kate (Katie Nicole) does an awesome job at asking what I want and helping me to understand if something is or is not a good fit for me. You can tell she is very educated in getting what you want, sometimes through a “process” of steps. I appreciate her knowledge and patience! And she gives a fabulous shampoo!!

I had Allison for the first time and was very impressed with her. She immediately made me feel comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable. This is the best my hair has ever looked and I am very picky with how my blonde turns out. No brassiness. I used to go to JBentley until the prices kept rising and the quality of my hair was unacceptable for how much I was paying. You know you have great color when strangers compliment you. Caroline Carney is likely Columbus's most talented young stylist. Her age will fool you but she is a color genius. Before Caroline I had a colorist with 38 years in the business leave me with a grey stripe where my roots showed. I first met Caroline as a Paul Mitchell student. My hair never looked so good!

The studio is next door to the Be Fit Cafe in Powell in a little strip mall. When you walk in, the staff are very welcoming and offer coffee or lemon water. And you'll notice the salon is very bright and clean.
I had the wonderful Taylor as my stylist. She is so friendly and nice, wanting to ensure you get the right look. I loved the whole process, from the shampoo massage to the final straightening. She even told me to let her know

I have been going to Ashley Hoover for the past 4 years. Looking back when I first came my hair was pretty damaged- not quite sure why just years of unhealthy habits. Ashley truly transformed my hair to healthy and found the perfect hair color for me. I get so many compliments and love how it still looks natural. Two years ago I moved to Cincinnati but refuse to go anywhere else. I understand it seems crazy but seriously worth the trip every time! Can’t speak highly enough. Highly recommend.

I was really nervous about going to a new hair stylist after my girl moved to Utah. But I did my checking on reviews on Yelp (Yes I sure do use yelp) and found this place. Now this place is not this close to me. I live in Hilliard and this is in Powell. Not bad but not super convenient either. Any way, the young girl, Katie Nicole did a awesome job. I called last minute on a whim on a Saturday afternoon for my teen daughters. They got us in within half an hour. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. It is a beautiful and professional salon. They have a special price for tween girls and even included my 14 year-old in that price. This is our new salon!

I love this salon! I get my hair done by Linde and she's so talented! She has given me a couple of balyage's and they turned out awesome! She does what you want, and what's best for your hair. She suggests great products, but would never make you buy something that is not necessary. Also, I think that the prices are right for what you get!

I don't know if this counts for JMAC or not, but it'll do. :) I go to JMAC and see my stylist, Loren Ball, in the private suites, which are off to the right behind the main check-in counter.
Loren is amazing! She listens to what you want, gives you a great consult and offers her suggestions, and then executes perfectly. I have curly hair and it is HARD to find a stylist who does well with curls. Loren is open to trying new methods of styling, and she is always looking for ways to better her skills. She does hair 10 hours a day (and more!) and then goes home and still wants to play online

The salon is clean, the staff is anh and the prices sound attractive BUT the girl who did my hair just up charged the crap out of everything. All I had done was a single process color, that's it. No cut, highlights, nada. So she, Linde, tells me her prices start at $48 and I was like OK. Once the dye is already in my hair she proceeds to tell me really fast that it's an extra $20 to blow dry my hair. What? Seriously? Well, OK I'm not paying that. Stacie, Casey, and all the ladies of Jmac have done stellar jobs with my mop head, keeping me clean and presentable.
And their staff was absolutely incredible when I brought my boys in for their cuts, showing their patience off, as well.
...I'm really in need to take advantage of their spa.
All in all, one of my favorite places to come to for all things hair (and I send everyone I know here, as well!)

I have seen 4 different stylest and each ha been amazing. I know see Stacie only but not for a specific reason against anyone else we just formed a great relationship! I also love the owner Joannie! The salon is very attractive in a strip mall next to Vittoria Ristorante. I had my hair cut by Janie - she's so personable and a very skilled stylist. The second time I went to JMACs was for an eyebrow, pedi and mani by Bly. She was awesome and convinced me to do shellac. I couldn't be happier. I rescheduled for another shellac appt. with Bly, but she longer works there. :( My appt was rescheduled with Abby, very nice and funny, not skilled in Shellac but she did an excellent job on my lip wax - quick!
