We are the sports specialist in San Bernardino providing excellent care to every athlete who walks through our door. Frustrated with the inability to provide a sport-specific rehabilitation environment for his athletes and other active-minded patients, physical therapist Peter Lingas sought to create the ideal experience.

Combining the high-level knowledge learned from his mentors and the current concepts of the sports performance industry, the Precision In Movement performance-based movement training paradigm was set in motion. After tearing my ACL for the second time I knew finding a Physical Therapist with experience and a clean, professional facility was very important.

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is located in the knee and can be injured or torn when it is harshly twisted in the wrong way. ACL tears are especially common in athletes, including those who participate in sports such as gymnastics, football, soccer, tennis, or downhill skiing. All these sports require sudden stops and changes in direction, making the risk higher for twisting the knee the wrong way and sustaining an ACL injury.
Back in early spring I had started powerlifting again and out of the three main lifts, my favorite is the deadlift. This is where I excelled the most and can lift more than twice my bodyweight. The program that I was following called for a heavy triple and I got overconfident. Back pain is the most commonly reported pain in the United States, according to the American Physical Therapy Association.

This facility is second to none. As a Duke alum I now play overseas. Unfortunately, I tore my MCL while playing professional basketball and usually I would do my rehab at Duke. Due to COVID and my current location, I wasn’t able to do my rehab there so I chose Precision in Movement. This experience, the one on one care, strength/mobility exercises, and the new age technology such as the laser therapy is the same if not better than what I have experienced from world renown facilities like Duke University. They are using the same top knotch instruments and techniques as NBA, MLB and NFL players

Had an issue with my shoulder. I could barely lift my arm above my head. Three weeks in; things were beginning to turn around. I've gone through 8 weeks of PT and things are virtually back to normal. I have a series of routine exercises provided by my trainer and I feel confident things will be back to normal. I was also given a protocol to follow to strengthen my shoulder to hopefully prevent any future issues. My trainer, Dr. Nico Docil, was knowledgeable, patient and willing to answer any questions I had. I couldn't have asked for better.

Took my daughter after a knee injury. She is a dancer so getting back to dancing was very important to her. Peter is amazing, kind and so knowledgeable! My daughter started on crutches and ended up walking, dancing and doing dance leaps and dance turns better and stronger than before her injury. The amount of time and thought that goes into each session is incredible. The resources that they use during the hour session from underwater treadmill, laser, leg compression, exercises and strengthening machines is great! They also take proper covid precautions too, so that is nice. With 2 very active

Having two daughters with spinal fusions, I have a decent amount of experience with physical therapy. This is by far the best practice we have been to. The focus on prevention of further injuries, and the clear explanation of goals and progress are helpful in motivating my daughter to comply with care. She will do the work that is asked of her if she understands why it is necessary, and the staff always explain things to directly to her.

I can't say enough about Pete and The Institute for Precision In Movement! Pete gives you 1 on 1 attention and really cares about helping you. Each week I went to Pete I could feel myself learning more and more about my body and how I was suppose to use it properly. My body has never felt this strong or limber before in my life. Thank you Pete!

My daughter has been working with Pete for over 9 months now. She has always been a very active athlete, who did sports including gymnastics, basketball and volleyball. Unfortunately, she injured her knee and had to have an ACL repair done. We got recommendations from many people at her school to see Pete. First impressions are very important, and Pete was very professional, knowledgeable and has built a great trust with my daughter. He has more of a supportive and encouraging attitude, and shows that he does care for the outcome of success for his patients. Pete uses up-to-date technology to monitor
