I do really appreciate your efforts as I have very little time to focus on buying. I can count on you guys to get back with me quickly and prepare loads in a very timely fashion. A couple weeks ago, I put together a load at 1:00 in the afternoon and it was in my warehouse at 2:00 the following day.

I have another vendor who complains all the time that I don't buy more from him and I often can't get an email response in 24 hours let alone buy a load and take delivery in that time period. Gutchess Lumber produces lumber from 11 species of premium northern hardwoods. Our products are responsibly sourced from Pennsylvania and New York, and are prepared in our state-of-the-art northern hardwood sawmill and kiln-drying facilities.
Services
Gutchess Lumber Co, Inc. is proud to have seen many years of multigenerational leadership and employee-ownership. The following story was written by one of our sales representatives, and multigenerational employee-owners, Chris Wickersham. It is hard to imagine over 30 years. Gutchess Lumber Co., Inc.'s "Words from Woods" series consists of a monthly article written by our fifth-generation President and Chairman Matthew Gutchess.
I must take this opportunity to commend Gutchess Lumber Company on the quality people you have on staff. This is the third sale I've had completed with your company and each one gets better- the crew did a superb job every step of the way. Kyle personally did the remediation work and I must say is a magician with a dozer.
Gutchess has been a hardwood lumber exporter of northern hardwood lumber for decades, and is a long standing member of the American Hardwood Export Council. Our experience and expertise in shipping lumber internationally combined with our knowledge of northern hardwoods has positioned us well as a global supplier.
Since 1904, Gutchess Lumber has been producing the finest quality northern hardwood lumber. Our longevity and reputation is testament to the commitment we made over 110 years ago to providing our customers with quality products and service. Our 500+ employee owners, some 2nd and 3rd generation, are dedicated to this goal.
At Gutchess, our focus is on producing the highest quality kiln dried hardwood lumber from the Northern region of the United States. The majority of our lumber comes from New York and Pennsylvania areas. We offer 11 species of premium northern hardwoods in a variety of thicknesses and grades. We do not import hardwoods, nor do we buy kiln dried lumber from other manufacturers.

It was an alright place to work for. I did feel like just a number though. The best part about it was the people I worked with in the mill. They cared about your safety... at least it felt that way to me. That is mainly the reason why i'm giving 4 stars.

Coming from a trucker, they couldnt be nicer people at this place. They’ll go out of their way to help you out as long as you arent a d i c k head. Went above and beyond for me to find an outbound load after delivering here late in the afternoon on a friday. From what I heard from the staff this is still ran as a family business, going back a hundred years, which you dont really hear about too much anymore and I think thats dope. Hope I get to come back here again at some point, cause this was the most pleasant place I’ve been in quite a bit.

Well so far my woods are a disaster. Trees that were not supppost to get cut were and they did not take any care when taking the trees out that they bought. Also they tell you they will do certain things and they did not. Have not yet been able to check out the extent of the damage done because the woods look like a war zone. Seller beware. I even had a tree expert over seeing this harvest and He was not even notified till we called him, to ask if he new they were logging our woods. Totally not happy thought they would preserve our woods for the future but this did not happen. Guess it is all about
