I was approached for a job by Talent 101 by a recruiter. He proposed a rate but did not offer any benefits. I went through 2 rounds of interviews and I initially negotiated a rate that the recruiter accepted but that somebody at the client company apparently rejected because it was considered too high (it really wasn't). One month later the same recruiter contacted me again. At that point I was able to negotiate on a pay with some benefits, some paid holidays but no paid time off. The package also included a 401(k) retirement plan which at first sounded like a good deal. There was interest
