I have been going to Great Face Cafe' since she started in River Oaks Mall. That's been at least over 10-15 years. She is by far the Ultimate face beater! She makes you look natural and Classy at all costs. Aside from her beating my face and doing my brows for the gods on a weekly basis. Her warming personality is to die for. Her business is full of energy when you walk in. Toxicity is not allowed. loll. God has truly blessed this woman's hands and has given her an artistic art that no one can compel to. Yup that's what I said "NO ONE"

I am writing a review on this site to shed light on how my soon to be mom was treated, when requesting service at a Black owned and operated beauty cafe.
Back story per the customer: After not being able to get anyone on the phone The customer drove to the shop. The owner Azuka opened the door while on the phone she told her that I she had to call for an appointment. The customer told her that she tried but only got voicemail ( The voicemail tells you not to leave appointments on voicemail ) so she decided to come in person and make an appointment. Azuka gave her an appointment and about 5 minutes

I used to frequent this place a while back & really liked my brows and experiences.
However, one day I came to get brows done and arrived about 15-20 minutes early as I was having my car serviced near by. I left my car to be serviced and walked over to have a great experience with Azuka (the owner). She knew me & we had a pretty decent client-provider rapport.
However, when I arrived, the receptionist asked me of the time of my appointment and did NOT make it clear that she would rather that I didn't wait inside early. Instead of communicating that to me, it was later revealed that

I beg to differ with the last review, I've been going to GFC for the past 12 years and I love the experience every time. Azuka is very professional, and if you want your eyebrows or makeup, lashes etc done a certain way, I suggest you just let her know. She is very skilled in her craft, just let her know what you want.
