Dr. Allison Nabours, owner of Aloha Natural Medicine, received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Certificate of Midwifery from Bastyr University in 2011. Dr. Nabours holds a license to practice as a Naturopathic Physician in the states of Hawaii and Washington. During her studies at Bastyr, Dr. Nabours focused her alternative health care training in women's health and naturopathic pediatrics.
Aloha Natural Medicine is a naturopathic clinic located on the windward side of the island of Oahu in Kailua, Hawaii. Our clinic specializes in natural, holistic, and alternative approaches to optimal health for the entire family, working with women, men, children, and infants. Dr. Allison is a caring, nurturing, intelligent and thorough professional. The birth of our son was a challenging time for us new parents without family nearby. Dr. Allison became like family to us during house visits those first 45 days of little Elliott’s life. The personal touch of home visits was comforting and patient centered. Dr. Allison was also my lactation consultant. She made it possible for me to become confident in my breast feeding journey. I always felt comfortable, guided and cared for as a new mom. Dr. Allison answered all our questions via phone call, text and in person visits

Dr. Nabours is amazing! 10 STARS! As a nurse I HIGHLY recommend her as a primary pediatrician. She will not give you the same experience as a typical doctors office. I've NEVER felt rushed and she really takes the time to get to know her patients and understand them as a whole. I honestly can't say the same about a lot of doctors. My daughter has been seeing her since she was a newborn and it has been the best experience. It is so easy to talk to her and express your concerns as a parent. I have met with Dr. Nabours twice thus far and hope to continue seeing her. She is knowledge, caring, and helpful. I felt she truly listened to me as my treatment plan was meticulously created and tailored to my individual concerns, refraining from the “cookie cutter” approach.
The human body is a complex system that requires a holistic approach to treating its various ailments, thus, I will be implementing the recommended treatment plan (life style changes, dietary improvements, and supplement inclusions) for optimal results.

I started seeing Dr. Nabours at end of January for women's health concerns, which included fertility issues & regulating my periods. I was diagnosed with PCOS in my mid-20s without any explanation or clear direction of managing the diagnosis. For years, I have been advised to just take birth control & "it will regulate everything" by my OBs. I have been increasingly frustrated by this answer & really wanted to find the root cause! I wanted to look for someone that would hear my concerns & help me to understand my body.
