The thrill of adventure motorcycling is catching on across the country. More and more riders are discovering the joys of riding a cycle that can handle both highways and trails with ease. It's the ultimate thrill of packing light, riding hard and exploring our beautiful planet. It's one thing to travel on a motorcycle to another place, but when you know that you can go to places where there are no roads, the world opens up to you.
At Adventure Designs, we know all about adventure and dual-sport riding, because we were riders before we were store owners. We got our start when two brothers tried to find a specific kind of tire inflation pump. Unable to find exactly what they were looking for, they eventually made their own. Sales of that Micro Tire Pump Kit took off, and showed the brothers that there was a demand for clever, innovative products for adventure motorcyclists.

Rolling down the open road with the wind deflecting against your helmet's visor, you can't help but be enraptured by the level of connectedness you have with the road. Few experiences can best moments like this, which are only possible on a motorcycle. Try getting the sensation of the wind rushing down your back in a four-door automobile-it won't happen.

Sorry, bargain hunters: We've done all the work for you. And we're continually adding new items to our selection of sale items, so make sure to check back often.

If a picture is worth 1,000 words, what is a good video worth? Seeing via video isn't just believing, it's also understanding. Adventure Designs is dedicated to selling high-quality parts and accessories for your adventure-tourer or other motorcycle, and we realize that they're not cheap. When you're spending your money on an expensive accessory, it is natural to want to see more than a photo or two.

I ordered a seat concepts seat for my DRZ on January 14, 2021. It said allow for 38 business days for it to be made. That day came and I gave them a call to check on it. They said it is still not ready yet. No biggie, I know COVID has everything crazy. I gave them a few more weeks and called back and it was still not ready. Cool I said, and I continued to call back maybe every 3-4 weeks and they started saying, well, we haven't charged you yet if you would like to cancel. I said, no I will wait, no worries. By the first of July, things seemed a little suspect. I contacted Seat Concepts and

I placed an order Dec. 8 and 11 day's later my order (which stated was in stock) is still pending review. I've emailed 3 times with no response. Regardless of Covid or the holiday's it is poor practice to not return customer inquiries. I run a small business and make communication a priority. I'll be waiting a few more days before I need to call in a chargeback on my credit card. Poor experience.

I discovered this shop right in my back yard while searching online for gear for my new bike. They are not open on the weekends but I popped in Monday to their showroom to pick up a couple of small items and spent about an hour looking at other gear and discussing pros and cons. I forgot which brother it was but he even stayed with me answering questions past his closing time. Despite what one previous post said, their prices at at or below other online retailers and they eat the sales tax in order to compete. They are super knowledgeable about everything they carry and even ordered a couple

Located Adventure Designs on the internet. I was looking to buy and get Clearwater lights added to my GS1200 and closer to SF. Courteous call, i selected the lights I wanted, added Billy break lights, got a quote, selected a time and on said date went. The guys were knowledgeable, service was a promised, the result perfect. Great service and super professional. The fee was also reasonable. Installer showed how to use the lights and took his time. Highly recommended if you need something close than Clearwater.

Carsten answered the phone immediately and was very helpful with questions. I went to their location and was greeted immediately by Chad.
I am a stickler when it comes to customer service especially when you are talking about ADV. equipment. I probably drove Chad nuts with all my questions and being I can't make a decision with my analytical mindset there were a lot. When I left about 3 hours later (sorry Chad) I made friends with customers, invited on rides and every question was answered and more. I can't say enough about this operation.
Bottom line 10 stars and will never go anywhere

Ordered a JPR High Performance Adjustable Shorty Aluminum Levers for a 2010 BMW F800GS on 11/10/2017. It is now December 5, 2017 and I have no idea if the order is in process and when it will it be shipped, if ever. Moreover, the Company cannot be contacted by telephone as the phone is never picked up - the phone always goes to voice mail. My rating of customer service for this Company is zero. Order at your own risk.

These guys are great, always shop here when planning my next adventure. Last Mexico trip I needed a dry bag and a few other things, They steered me away from the high-end pricey bags to the gear that works, and has been consistently working trip after trip. I-phone X-Grip bar mount best tool ever, short of a hard dirt nap the I-phone stays put. Ride-on tire protection and tire balance, was a little suspect at first, I'm sold, no flats, automatic tire balancing, water soluble, easy to wash off when replacing tires. I ordered the higher priced hand guards and Chad suggested the lower priced

This shop is GREAT!! Top tier products and the up-to-date personal experience of the extremely helpful staff make this location YOUR next stop for anything that you'll need to equip yourself and your bike for adventures to come. Stop buying stuff online from some God-zilla site, and start buying from these guys. Local shops like this need to stay around!!

It's hard to imagine my motorcycling life without these guys. My GS and my body are both tricked out for the ultimate safety! This is our first stop for anything moto .. we're lucky they're in our neighborhood. The customer service is "over the top," and when they don't know about a product they are "on it" finding out if it's of sufficient quality for them to consider getting. That it's a genuine family business makes it all the better ... these guys love to ride, and want to ensure that their customers do as well!

There are not enough good things to be said about adventure designs. By far the best motorcycle shop I have ever been to. They have an answer for every question and recommendations. Being a fairly new motorcycle rider and not knowing the right questions to ask, they take time with you going through the options and what will work best. Great customer service. Thanks again guys for all the items I have purchased at your store.

The fellas at ADV are simply amazing. They take care of you like they have been a neighbor and good friend for years! I feel right at home with them and their awesome shop.
I purchased a KLIM BLP from Adeventure a few years ago. A few weeks ago the zipper fell apart so I reached out to KLIM. While their product is amazing and their response time was laudable, their communication is a bit ridgid, it doesn't feel like they are trying to take care of you as much as disclaim any potential issues. Anyhow, KLIM requested that I send pictures (5 in total). Once they received the photos they simply

I love these guys! It is so nice to have a bike shop mainly specialized on Adventure style riding equipment and accessories. They are knowledgeable, well equipped, nice, friendly, and professional to cater any rider's need.
I've been quoted for a 1,5 hr installation labor rate plus the stuff I purchased. While I was having my coffee, Chad walked and told me that technician finished everything earlier at just 1 hr mark so my labor cost will be less than I was quoted earlier. Now, that's honesty and quite simply it is hard to come across lately.

This place is a real gem for the Bay Area ADV Motorcycle enthusiast! Chad and Carsten are great to interact with and they've got first hand experience with the products they sell. In cases where they don't, they've got regular/loyal customers who return to the shop to share their experiences with the staff.
The products I purchased from them are of high quality and aren't readily available from your standard moto-gear retailers. No catalog browsing needed (in my case)...these guys had the items in stock, could demonstrate them for me, and had plenty of anecdotal stories

Very pleased with Adventure Designs! Great inventory for ADV bikes and I love the website. My orders were free of problems and arrived (across the country) as quickly as can be expected. Great products and great attention to detail. They even threw in a small bag of M & Ms to say thank you for the order and put a smile on my face. (Nice touch). I will definitely order from them again in the future. Great job guys!

The guys at adventure designs know their stuff, take time doing it right and attend to small details most shops wouldn't. They are super knowledgeable and fun to chat with while you are waiting for your bike.
My experience was bumpy but all in all, top quality customer service.
I bought some tires which turns out I don't like (not their fault)...and had a flat in under 100 miles. Brought the wheel in and upon inspection it seemed like a defective tube since they could not fine a hole in the tire. They replaced the tube with a different make, didn't charge me and had it done in

I was visiting Motowrx in Livermore when a customer of theirs told me about a new up and coming Speciality Adventure Shop out in Hayward called Adventure Designs.
When I walked in I realized that I had met these guys at the San Mateo IMS Show several years ago...
This shop is the bomb! Owned and operated by two brothers who began making and selling adventure products in 2006 after much urging from friends and riding buddies.
Today they have a sweet showroom showroom on Huntwood Avenue but this upcoming week will be opening up a new location just down the street on Whipple Road.
