Located in the Kansas City Northland, Diane and the DSOD faculty believe dance training is life training that promotes discipline, poise and self-confidence. With that philosophy in mind, DSOD provides a nurturing school where students learn the elements of dance technique through a welcoming environment while focusing on fun!
The instructional dance curriculum includes tap, classical ballet, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop, pointe, contemporary, lyrical and more. Come and witness the phenomenon that is Diane's School of Dance. Once you do, you'll see there simply is no substitute for DSOD.

Diane's is an incredible dance studio! They treat every student there with kindness, respect, and love. Everyone who works there is genuine and caring, and we feel so lucky to have a place like that to raise our girls in. Diane’s School of Dance. Where to begin and with only 50 characters? Challenge accepted. Simply put, DSOD is the reason I’m able to be outside the box. It brought me out of my shell in a way Girl Scouts hadn’t. If it wasn’t for DSOD I feel like I wouldn’t be the person I am today. The whole crew is made up of beautiful and caring individuals and… I’m so thankful my parents let me stay. There are no words. Tonight, our daughter, a Senior in High School danced her last Dance in this studio. For 12 years a student and 3 years as an Assistant she has been taught to dance, to respect and so much more. Diane, and her staff are an enigma in Kansas City and held in the highest regard but other Studios. Truly, Michael Jackson rehearsals were held there. Yes, that Michael. None better than DSOD.

I've been dancing here for nine years and it's amazing! The teachers are super nice and they understand if you mess up. They teach tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, Pointe, and more. The dances that they teach are appropriate and so are the costumes. The recitals are the best. They have one every year in May at the Kansas City Music Hall. If you are considering signing you or your child up, do it! It's defenetly worth the money!
