Dr. Cailyn Katsev is a native of Santa Barbara. Practicing full scope eye care, Dr. Katsev sees patients of all ages and types. She is licensed to treat and manage visual and medical conditions of the eye, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and cataracts.
Dr. Carter Andersen is a graduate of Southern California College of Optometry and has been practicing primary care optometry in Santa Barbara and Goleta since 2011. A native of Santa Barbara, Dr. Andersen is an alumni of both UC Santa Barbara and San Marcos High School. I used to think that my vision was fine until my eye exam with Dr. Bream.

If you've had a vision screening recently, you might say, My vision is fine! I don't need a comprehensive eye exam. But a vision screening provides a limited perspective on the overall health of your eyes. It's a bit like getting your blood pressure checked and not getting the rest of your annual physical.

Well, went in for a much needed eye exam. I was able to book probably the last available slot in the day. As soon as I got there the girl had the questionnaire ready to be filled up. Which I did. And right away I was walked into exam room. The optometrist started the exam and asked some questions, since I hadn't had an exam since I had my lasik surgery years ago, he suggested to get the extra check ups, eye pressure... but he didn't push he just suggested and I did decide to do it. I cannot believe how well I was taken care of in these times. I needed glasses shipped to my son on the East coast. Dan answered the phone walked me through the protocol. Followed up with an excellent price after his recommendations and didn't try to sell me the most expensive. He made the glasses and walked them to the shipping place and sent them out. His staff were also so attentive and kind. I am super duper honest person and appreciate good service but they went above and beyond that!! Thank you very very much.

The staff was very friendly and Dr. Amanda Beaudry was incredible with my one and two year old. One of the assistants even colored with my two year old when my one year old was seen. They both had their eyes dilated and we are so grateful to report they have good vision and don't need glasses. Thank you so much!

By far the most enjoyable experience I've ever had at an optometrist. The staff and doctor made everything from scheduling to picking up glasses a super enjoyable experience.
The office is very clean and the doctor went above and beyond by recommending supplements that would support eye health and possibly reduce migraines.
They delivered pleasant, convenient, and high-quality care, I'm glad they're here in Goleta.

Hats off to Dr. Cori Bream, who refused to dilate my eyes during routine eye exam because she diagnosed I had "narrow angles" (high risk for closed angle glaucoma). She promptly referred me to an Opthamologist, who will perform an LDI procedure soon.
As glaucoma is a silent robber of one's vision, prevention is key to retain eyesight. Funny thing is that my optometrist in NorCal went ahead and dilated my eyes for an exam 2 years ago, only mentioned "in passing" afterwards that this narrow angle issue was a problem for me (he shouldn't have dilated my eyes because

Dr. Cory bream has been my optometrist for years. She saved my eyesight by finding the beginning of a retinal tear. She is at the top of her field and profession. She also helped me get terrific contacts even with my astigmatism. She has given me eyesight with contacts that I never could have imagined.
