With an office in Ojai, Topa Topa Optometry, Inc. has been serving California's Ventura County for more than 30 years. Dr. Tsao put me right at ease with her caring expertise in assessing my vision for my first set of contact lenses. I am often not very comfortable in a clinical setting, but her approachable manner and obvious intelligence had me feeling in good hands. In subsequent visits, both she and Dr. Brockman made every effort to ensure I had the most refined prescription. Upon their caring encouragement I must have tried 5 sets of lenses for free, before committing to my full year prescription. It was a wonderfully helpful experience and my lenses have been a liberating alternative to glasses.

There inside and I am at the door which is locked outside and they tell me I'm early . Nobody says hello and all have a look on their face as if I robbed the place. I was assigned to Lisa . She is nasty and actually laughed at me. The variflux lenses and frames cost me950.$ They made me feel like a low life . I was dressed nice .

This was my first appointment at Topa Topa and my last.
I was greeted by an unfriendly impatient bossy nurse standing at the office front door with a thermometer. No hello or good afternoon she just stood there sticking this thermometer in my face then told me to go wash my hands in the bathroom somewhere down the hall. As I walked down the hall she kept shouting "keep walking" over and over and when I finished washing my hands she was nowhere. I wasn't told what room to go to so I stood there looking around and saying excuse me but no one offered assistance.
At this point I

I didn't think a favorite optometrist was a thing I'd ever have but Topa Topa has managed to become just that. The staff and Dr were absolutely wonderful, thorough, and I actually enjoyed my appointment. I even learned some things! They had a fantastic selection of glasses and I picked out two pairs that I absolutely love. I was able to pick them up faster than expected. Super pleased, highly recommend!

This is a wonderful business. I've been going there for years. I especially want to thank Pam. I had a particularly difficult lens order to be filled for some frames that were wraparound and she did everything she possibly could to get me what I wanted. She went the extra mile and I really appreciate it. I also like to have my eye exams there. It's a very professional environment. Super high-end inventory. Professional staff. I only have great things to say about this place. Thank you very much.

It is with sadness that I am scribing this note. I have lived in Ojai for years and have never had a less than professional outcome with the providers till my venture into Topa Topa Opt....
I do not normally write these reviews as I assume most are shills for the provider of which I am not.
I have 2 doctoral degrees and 3 professional licenses. Now retired.
I've had nothing but problems with the offices as they:
1. Lost my frames I dropped off for new lens's.
2. Had to prove to them I purchased the frames I dropped off and only then did they re-order them.
3. When the glasses were returned
I do not normally write these reviews as I assume most are shills for the provider of which I am not.

I've been seen by Dr. Brockman and Dr. Tsao many times over the years and both are very caring people who truly build a relationship with the community.Their staff is friendly to deal with and keep the place clean and sanitary especially during this pandemic. They are also very accommodating if you have an emergency. I woke up with a terrible stye on my eye a few weeks ago and they got me in to see Dr. Brockman within a few hours. Thank you!

At Topa Topa Optometry, I always feel welcome to take my time choosing frames and asking questions. They process my insurance for me and have fair prices. Dr. Brockman is skilled, patient and kind. I once had something (a seed hull) blown into my eye by the wind and he carefully and expertly removed it. The staff there is knowledgeable and helpful and I recommend Topa Topa to my family and friends.

Dr. Brockman is the best!! I've been coming here for years for my general eye exam, but this weekend when my son scratched my cornea while playing (I was in so much pain and Urgent Care was useless!), Dr. Brockman met me on a Sunday night to examine my eye and put a contact bandaid on it. It feels so much better and I am very grateful! My husband sees Dr. Tso for his eye exams and really likes her as well.
